  • its not as if you're being raped by a warthog or anything!!!!!!!

    lol

  • I always wanted to know why that screen was in like every film xD

  • "To what end?"

I nearly wet myself. I generally hate puns but unintended ones I can forgive.

  • I had just had a glass of milk and was nibbling away at a slice of bread when they started talking about how humans shouldn't eat bread and milk.

  • @ZexyKay For god's sake, GET OUT OF THERE!!! ;)

  • @angelzoog 'Luvvie' is a term used (usually derogatory) to describe an actor who is affected or camp. The Oxford English dictionary traces all words included in it back as far as possible to see where they come from (etymology). Stephen is shocked because the term luvvie is supposedly used by camp actors to describe each other - it implies that Stephen is a bit of a luvvie himself.

  • i'm sorry if i seem stupid for asking this. but what is emma talking about when she says Luvvie? and why does stephen act like its a huge shock? i understood everything else mentioned on this episode.

  • Best episode of QI ever, John Sessions isn't that funny, his impression was good, but other wise a terrific episode as I love FILM

  • Lol I think Maggie fancies David

  • Emma Thompson is HOT!!!

  • My surname's Foley ^_^

  • Peter Cushing also played Frankenstein. The scientist, not the monster.

  • @JanforWidol The monster was never called Frankenstein, not in the book or film.

  • @JanforWidol But in Hammer films, from Britain, not in "Hollywood: productions. (Which they made a point of saying.) But it's worth mentioning, because Cushing was GREAT as Baron Frankenstein.

  • Emma Thompson seems to find David Mitchell very funny. But there again, so do I. It follows, therefore, that I am Emma Thompson.

  • -Alan?

    -Yes.....

    xD

  • I don't understand the whole Wednesday, two weekends, laziness thing. Could anyone explain that to this American?

  • @molegoddess No. Fuck off

  • @LeonShepard Why so mad? :(

  • @LeonShepard whats wrong with you? its a legit question, stephen would have ansered

  • on second thoughts it's more of fucking hell! I'm off out the back door look.

  • @26wordy Yes I'm pretty certain he was worrying if it might be one of three ladies whose names I am far too much of a gentleman to reveal.

  • Mitchell has a sneaky look up into the balcony at the screaming woman, sees if she's worth 'bumping into' later.

  • what did emma say before the luvie alarm?

  • after snape killed dumbledore:

    Voldemort: where is dumbledore?

snape: prof. Dumbledore won't be joining us for the rest of his life

  • I like how they don't have anything bad to say about the phrase "Let's get outta here". I actually like that phrase and don't mind its frequency. Half the time I don't even notice it.

  • it's Star Trek, not Star Wars

  • ummm I mean luvies

  • skull. it means that Stephen is recorded as being the first person to refer to actors as luvied

  • I think the French are lazy, hardly industrious anyway.

  • Is it just me or does Emma Thompson have an unrequited crush on Fry?

  • @zufgh everyone has a crush on fry

  • @mrsraddliffe Well he certainly looks snuggable :)

  • If Robin Hood spoke with an English accent the American market wouldn't have liked the movie = failed in the largest market.

  • That's why everyone should have guessed Alan a'Dale was Robins brother. They both spoke American, the language of Robin Hood movies Nobles.

  • I swear that vilhelm scream is in every movie ever made

  • Alan should come to America, his beloved pubes have made somewhat of a comeback.

  • I dont get that joke at 4:52

  • @skullythecreator Emma Thompson doesn't remember all of the times she was nominated for an Oscar, Alan Davies claims that even if most of his brain were gone he would still remember if he were Oscar nominated. The joke is that he proves this by being able to remember something trivial (all of his GCSEs).

  • @Scawking 40:52* aha Sorry

  • @Scawking You mean David Mitchell. Alan Davies is too old to have even taken G.C.S.E's

  • Who would have thought that Stephen Fry's kryptonite would be breests?

  • 21000st view!

  • @alexistheboss15 21740th!!!!

  • But Wednesday is hump day. It probably has something to do with church though.

  • I can't get over John Sessions imitation of Alan Rickman. Even his whole face transformes into Alan Rickman's. Fantastic! :D

  • @brandiralavara5 Have you ever seen Stella Street? He does impressions of several big names and some of them are VERY uncanny it's scary.

  • Wednesday is the most depressing day of the week, because on that day there is no Eastenders!!!

  • She used to show me her breests.

  • Dat funny!

  • BALMAFULALANANDO, YOU ARE BETTER THAN THE ENTIRETY OF THE BBC COMBINED. You wonderful person you.

  • michelangelo probably meant that "god" is something that only exists within the minds of humans.

  • @Kaaxe I really hope so. :)

  • Haha, Emma Thompson is bonkers!

  • Emma Thompson and David Mitchell own this entire episode.

  • John Sessions is a smug twat

  • @MrNusecus Correct! :)

  • When I see them joke with one another and having there little inside stories I really want to be part of their group. I really need to get away from my christian millieu.

  • Whenever I see Emma smiling reactions to David Mitchell's cleverness, all I can see is Friend Zone Fiona.

  • was there an obvious undercurrent here?

  • Really fantastic episode.

  • how can emma be so fit???

  • @TheOperaPhanatic What, held under the dorsal guiding feathers?

  • Their flu shots were insulin syringes.

  • Anyone else starting to hear that wilhelm scream in games now?

  • That guy does a great Alan Rickman

  • No Monty Python reference on the coconut shells?

  • no Alan, that's how the Animaniacs painted the Sistine Chapel

  • The Wilhelm Scream video is at /watch?v=4YDpuA90KEY

  • I saw David Mitchell and achieved instant rigidity; I then saw John Sessions and went flaccid. That man needs to be fired into the sun.

  • @Th1sWasATriumph Hahahaha! XD Damn TWAT, nice to see you're still on form. :P Where have you been lately? I've missed seeing your videos in my sub box. :(

  • How did those coconuts get here? this is a temperate zone, and as far as i know, coconuts are nonmigratory....

  • @Diekssus I almost pissed laughing.

  • @Diekssus a swallow (anyone who gets that is amazing!)

  • @TheOperaPhanatic

What? A swallow carrying a coconut?

A 5 ounce bird could not carry a 1 pound coconut!

  • @misterkami2 well, what if two of them carried it?

  • @TheOperaPhanatic No, they'd have to have it on a line...

  • @TheOperaPhanatic an african swallow?

  • @Diekssus The swallow may fly south with the sun or the house martin or the plover may seek warmer climes in winter, yet these are not strangers to our land?

  • @Swidhelm well what if two of them held on to one side of a string and carried it together?

  • @Swidhelm true, yet only european swallows migrate my good sir :)

  • @Diekssus We are suggesting coconuts migrate :3

  • @Diekssus I was about to go to sleep.. but seeing a holy grail reverence here made me have to watch this episode.

  • @Diekssus

    It could be carried!

  • @Diekssus You know, they could have been carried...

  • @ItsStillAFrog what, a swallow carrying a coconut?

  • @Diekssus Swallows

  • @Diekssus pidgeons mate pidgeons

  • Creatures on my eyelashes? ahhhhhh .

  • Love the chemistry between her and stephen xD

  • the french can talk, they're as lazy as hell.

  • @RachelHurdWood4ever2 Lol really? And you're English so you're obviously ugly with bad teeth, right? Cultural stereotypes are retarded and meaningless. Try thinking for yourself.

  • @RachelHurdWood4ever2 that's cuz they're spoiled. They've been living off the backs of their colonies for too long. One of the most despicable nations/cultures in human history. I wish they get what they deserve.

  • @shwwnn Yo dude Americans have no business lecturing people on imperialism and having a huge negative impact on the world and whatnot. This fixation on the French specifically is weird as hell (unless it's a conservative thing)

  • @FranzKafkaRockOpera US is the biggest terrorist state (according to their OWN definition of terrorism which is the use of violence against a civilian population to achieve political/military goals). They have no business talking about anyone, but they scream the the loudest about other's human rights not b/c they care about suffering but b/c mounting criticism against their enemy is just one tool they use to help their politics.

  • Between series F & G he lost quite few stone.

  • Is it just me or Stephen looks fatter?

  • @Hussarer Just you

  • @Hussarer I think it's the hair

  • All these ppl went to cambridge apart from alan.... fact..

  • Anyone else notice how Alan Davies just gets better, and better, and better with age?

  • @Merrida100 , yes he does.

  • @Merrida100 He'll Never better Jonathan Creek!

  • Oh come on. I can't believe, especially when comparing to all the other uploads, that this particular upload, especially an XL, only got 449 views? (sigh)

  • 15:18 great!

  • This is one of my favorite eps. Thanks for putting up the XL version.
