Well, you should search for another songs that Pavaronian´s, there are tons of them :P.

Also, not all of these songs match with the I - V - VIm - IIIm - IV - I - IV - V pattern used in the Pachelbel canon. And you must also have in mind that what its the same are not the chords, but the harmony pattern. For example, C - G - Am - Em - F - C - F - G chord progression will sound like Pachelbells, and D - A - Bm - F#m - G - D - G - A, will also do (just in another pitch).

hey, pretty sweet. I think Blues Traveler is the only one that actually follows that progression (except they do it in A not D). Basket Case is close, maybe one or two others too. Otherwise i think its just the first 4 chords that are on. You'll find a cool demo if you search "The Four Chord Song" Close to pachelbel, but not quite

Okay...so apparently ever recording artist since the 1600's has inspiration from Pachelbel. Dude...so of the millions of songs created since Canon in D, you happened to find some that were harmonious with it.

Good work, nonetheless, but I doubt every artist quoted had Pachelbel in mind when they composed the quoted songs.

Actually they were. I found these one a site that said each artist said they were inspired by Pachelbel. But I'm sure there are tons that sound like it, but have never heard the song. It's a catchy tune. Plus it's easy chords to play and you can pretty much make up any vocals with any key and it will sound ok. I see what you mean tho. Thanks for the comment!
