the girl obsessing on the cheesecake is waaaaaay more attractive than the stick-figure, sorry. it's something about those tormented ones. they're super-sexy for some reason.
I didn't think it was offensive. I thought it was just stupid. Jeezus, people need to stop obsessing over everything they put in their mouths and enjoy life.
And BTW, there is no way THAT crap tastes like cheesecake. It's probably full of chemicals.
@ArthurHammerr - Fat? Please - because women aren't 6 feet tall and 90 pounds. they're "fat"? Small wonder we have nine year old who are suffering from eating disorders - shallow sh*theads like you!
I suffer from an eating disorder and remember thinking this commercial was questionable when I first saw it. It channels a lot of the thinking and rationality that goes through a disordered mind, much like what I think. It paints food in a negative light, and way more time than normal is spent on thinking about it, much like how someone with an eating disorder suffers. @hooyah25, this woman's reasoning should never be thought "normal"; it's tortuous, and your comment is awfully insensitive.
Oh America... 35% of you are obese, and you're worried about your kids having self image problems? I think the problem is not enough of you have self image problems.
She's so cute. I'm always a sucker for a girl in glasses. I see nothing wrong with the ad. She's just trying to make the healthiest choice. If she were anorexic, she would eat the entire cheesecake than make a bee-line for the bathroom.
This ad disgusts me. It is downright degrading. It's commercials like these that make people feel terrible about their bodies. I hate how society makes people - women especially - feel guilty if, heaven forbid, they don't eat healthy 24/7. There is nothing wrong with promoting healthy eating, but no one should feel this guilty or ashamed just because they had a slice of goddamn cheesecake.
1 day ago when you are reading thid do not stop or else something bad will happen! (sorry about this) this girl's name is summer, she is 15 years old and has blonde hair, many scars, and she has no ears. she is dead. if you don't copy this to more than 5 videos, she will appear one dark quiet night when you are not expecting it beside your bed with a knife and going to kill you. this is no joke. if you send this on 5 more videos something good will happen to you
I think the point NEDA was trying to make is that when you have an eating disorder you cant even think about eating without planning on all the ways your going to burn it off, or get it out. By her contemplating jogging while eating her cheesecake, or how much she'll need to workout to "deserve" this slice of cheesecake some people thought it was a trigger of sorts for people with eating disorders... Granted companies shouldnt need to ban commercials, yoplait was kind enough to do so.
@Cimmantti Eating disorders don't necessarily mean you're anorexic and ED's are obsessive compulsions centred on food. A healthy person could watch what they eat and be fine, but a person with this condition would relate to this commercial because it sounds like their constant, 24/7 dialogue running in their heads. They spend three hours trying to burn off three calories. this commercial would be triggering for someone with an ED and counterproductive to recovery. Better safe than sorry, right?
I don't see anything wrong with this commercial. I love to eat Yoplit light and I feel it is a outstanding product. To me, this commerical demostrates a healthier way of eating and is showing its viewers that yogurt is just as good and can help stop the craving of unhealthy junk. The people who complained should be ashamed. Just because Yoplait is trying to market healthier choices, they get slammed for using a cheesecake and a woman's reasoning.
@Hooyah25 i agree, i don;t see what's wrong with it, i think they got the wrong message, it;s just showing her fighting temptation, lol i know the feeling

I don't find this commerical insulting and offensive like I do with the other Yoplait commercial, "Do the Swap." That one is just wrong.

@Cimmantti Because this is VERY similar to the mind processes of an anorexic.
