@facemash I do. You see, this piece, stylistically, is a British march. Baritones, or, more accurately, euphoniums, are instruments of English/British origin. Since this is a British march, there is bound to be heavy euphonium use in this piece. Euphonium is actually pretty much one of the key instruments to make this piece the way it is. Without the euphonium, it would sound weird. Mr. van Der Roost wrote 'Mercury' with euphonium in mind, actually.
@gangstazombiekilla Baritones are not euphoniums though. Baritones have cylindrical bores much like trumpets and euphoniums have conical bores like cornets. Euphoniums are considerably more common, hence my comment.
@facemash I know, I corrected myself more or less... I hate the habit of accidentally calling a euphonium a baritone. I also hate how Google Chrome doesn't recognize the word euphonium. Though I do play both baritone and euphonium. I play baritone during marching season and euphonium for concert season, in my school's symphonic band. Both are truly beautiful instruments, as is trombone... low brass in general, actually. You know, I like you.
we played this at All-County my freshman year, and then at our winter concert the year after, I love this song and you guys sound pretty good. good job!
Listen to those baritones!
