What you say around 1:47 reminds me of a bit in The Matrix wherein it's said that at first a utopian matrix was attempted but it failed because people kept trying to wake up from that "reality." They needed the bad stuff in order to have meaning or purpose.
liked the quotes, my pov: skinner is looking backwards @ the image of humanz prior to the advent of the electric technologies (media), huxley was looking forward @ the consequences of these technologies & their consequent effects upon psychology, skinners quip about huxleys prognostication is the reaction of a backwards man longing for some stability in a see of change; he also fails to grasp that 1984 had already happened & that 1984 was an historical account of that time: 1948

we had a particularly telling incident here of that
in which the BART transit police shot a man
who was handcuffed. Their were multiple
videos of the event taken and it sparked a
nasty backlash (which isn't over).
The media has tried to avoid publicity as much as they can.

I heard an interesting thing on the radio
yesterday.A guy talking about sous-veillance as
a counterpoint to SURveillance. The common man
with the ability to survail some of the actions of the
state.Cell phone pictures of abusive cops etc.

The electric media are Skinnerian teaching
machines and they are teaching us something
but so far no one knows what it is. His flaw was
in believing that men of good will were not
lying to themselves about what they wanted to
happen. He was crucified alongside the Nazarene who tried it before him.
LOL this is the channel of suppressed voices
we should have listened to.
