  • Gene Kelly!! :)

  • It's on retroplex right now :) I've seen this movie hundreds of times since I was a kid - when I saw it on the big screen. I may be a sap, but, it's very charming & never fails to make me smile. My favorite part is almost here: Louis Armstrong singing "Hello, Dolly." It gives me goosebumps. Yeah, it's an anachronism but, like I said, I'm a sap :)

  • I wonder why Joyce Ames didn't continue acting, the girl at 0:41. She's pretty hot even though she's a bit short but I've seen her in the film and it looked like she could have gone a long way, same for Danny Lockin but sadly he was murdered by some incompetent douche-bag.

  • So sad about Danny Lockin (being murdered) by some freak in CA. Stabbed 100 times at age 34.

  • Sad the Barnaby was murdered...Crazy. For those that don't know: he was stabbed 100 times in California...sounds like it was by Charles Hopkins/a guy he met at a bar. Yes, Danny Lockin was gay. So sad.

  • wonderful! thank you!

  • I loved this movie I'll never get tired of watching it!!<3

  • 0:51...oh Barbra... :P

  • ah ha, the music in W A L L E, iv been wondering where that came from! :)

  • I love this movie so much! And the hats in this movie are really cool! :-)

  • To Filmdude0: No, actually it's from 20th Century Fox. After the "Cleopatra" Box-Office failure they had made money with "The Sound of Music" - and then lost out with "Hello, Dolly", which costs were 20 Millions, but failed to cash in, because the times of big budget musicals were over by the end sixties. Not to mention the big controversy of casting Barbra as Dolly, because of her young age. But they thought, Barbra can do wonders to the Dolly Soundtrack, what she, of cause, did...

  • @Garbo1964 Yeah there was a huge controversy in the hiring of Ms. Streisand from what I have heard. But I guess she was also a perfectionist and came back to re sing/tape some of the songs she thought were lacking. I admire the whole cast for making this work. I so love this Musical

  • I suppose it was the last big MGM musical, wasn't it....?! With the passing 60's the big musicals movies became past.

  • i never get tierd of this movie i have watched it 20 times!!!!!!

  • @charisandmargot Only 20 times? LIGHTWEIGHT! ;-)

  • @charisandmargot JUST 20 times?
