What if Casey the sociopath was partying with really bad people while drugging her daughter with xanax. One of the really bad people knew her mo, followed her, stoke Caley for some horrible purpose, was able to assure mom if she didn't report she'd have her daughter back in 31 days. Casey had to act "normal" and cover up. Caley died, mom was framed. What are the holes in that?

This is a red herring, just to put the prosecution on the wrong track. WHAT IF... Cindy did it. Cindy who knew none of the things you'd expect this self-proclaimed loving granny to know. Talk about a change in behavior! She called Casey all the time. She stops completely! She says she never went 2 days w/o seeing Caylee, then doesn't call her every day? What if the cops were not stupid - they really had searched the area and the body wasn't there?
Here is my explanation. She was searching for ways to kill because she might have been thinking of using chloroform to knock her parents out to kill them thus inheriting her parents assets. She'd have 50% of the assets for herself. Her plan went bad when it OD'd caylee. Think about that, ever gave that a thought? Though she'd never admit she was planning to off her parents.
