  • 1:36, What a great piece of footage. Nice job. I wonder, Were these locos used to pull cars for long hauls or were they used for daily comutes?

  • I didn't see a marker on the rear of the train. Was there a "FRED" on the tail end?

  • What happened to the steam generator car by the end of the video?

  • One of the "Best Paint Schemes" ever!! Their SD's & GP's look great as well, or they did, its all CN now!

  • Steam heat in 1995! DAMN!

  • hurst shifters are hurst shifters...owned one ...like hurst 2+ 2 mustang and Hurst rent a cars...

  • @laphant YOU FORGOT ONE VERY IMPORTANT THING MATE. The SS AMX. One of 53 AMC AMX cars prepaired by Hurst. My 68 AMX and 69 Javelin both have Hurst Shifters. Thanks for watching the video. Take care, Jack...

  • Too bad that CN got rid of the F units. Thanx fur sharin'! 5 thumbs up!

  • The car behind the engine appears to have water vapor coming out the top, is this a result of hot domestic water heater?

  • The water vapor you see is due to that car being a steam generator car, for heating the coaches...

  • @eze241 thanxs

  • nice clip, too bad CN had to go and ruin the train by shit canning the F's and putting older junk power on them from their own wore out fleet.

  • I think I rode this train back in '99!

  • Excelente

  • Having beer on borad thats a good way to get Fired

  • What year was this?? In Summer 2008 I took the AC from Soult Ste Marie up to Hearst. My favourite spot of the ride was the humongeous bridge, Franz and Hearst

  • this is a great video but hurst is spelled hearst.

  • Yes!!! You are right, and I knew that. LOL But being an old gear head, Hurst shifters and scatter shields came to mind from my racing days. Sorry!!! Correction will be made. Thanks, Jackmp294

  • Nice EMD F unit

  • That's a handsome looking machine Jack, another excellent production with great locations...5* Bob

  • Great video. Thanks for sharing.

  • Sweet! This was back when it was owned by Wisconsin Central? Thanx fur sharin'!

  • owlking149: Yep, this would definately be sometime during WC's ownership, 1995-2002. The F-units didn't arrive until after the WC buyout, and CN retired them almost immediately after their takeover of the WC. :-(

  • Hope they still had the beer when they arrived at their destination... Good shots.

  • We where hoping they would toss it out to us when they went past. It was probably good Canadian beer!!! Thanks for looking, Jackmp294
