Both of them can tank well, but Mages rape mass creeps hard. Mechs can only attack one at a time. Iron Golem is the Mechs only good skill. The rest are just meh. Even in 1v1s, Pikemen and Fighters will own Mechs.
In short, Mechs are one of the most useless classes in PristonTale. I'm fortunate not to have made a mistake of training one.
