My brother has this type of epilespy and has only had a few grand mal seizures in his life, but since the age of 5 he had petit mal seizures constantly. Watching this little guy makes me think of my bro and what a rough journey he has had in coping with epilepsy. My brother is now 16 and has finally found a good med combination which combats the petit mals. We are told he is likely to grow out it by his twenties. I couldn't be more proud of him :)
One time I had an absence seizure while riding my bike (I was with a friend, always have to xD) and I didn't fall off :O I kept my balance. Isn't that kind of weird? I kept going straight though and I eventually fell onto the grass but my friend said that I was balanced for a few seconds.
I recently finished my senior first aid course and as i have never seen someone during a seizure, i felt i needed to know what to expect. These videos help so much.
i don't see anything differently...i don't fell out of it like im in a dream.....sometimes things look bigger or slower....its not like i see red lights or anything.
Thank you for this footage. I have always wondered what the differences of certain seizures look like since my brother has had epilepsy. He has had different seizures and I wondered what this type looked like. Thank you again. =>
