  • well im a huge wa wa nee fan, i saw them live in 1987 and after seeing this, it's no wonder they didnt make it over there that seemed like a constipated performace im sure it was nerves, and why was the other mic turned up so loud some one stuffed up there. having said that thanks for the post i enjoyed seeing it again after all these years anyhow :)

  • hay dose anyone know if they r comming 2 Adelaide coz we r new fans of them and they r AWSOM and we think that they shuould reform and do a world tour and a new album THEY R GREAT WE LUV THEM ESPCILY THE LEAD SINGER HE'S HOT

  • I need to know when Paul Gray is playing live in Sydney next. I was only 13 when they were playing shows so I missed out!

  • is the guitarist a guy named "Red" or something? he used to feature on that show "Hey Hey Its Saturday" or something like that

  • I don't know anything about that, but the guitarist's name is Steve Williams.

  • @heylad Red is "Red Symons" the guitarist from the band "skyhooks" who later appeared in "Hey Hey It's Saturday" as a judge for the Red Faces segment.

  • @albetty100, Thank you for the clarification. I would imagine that being from the U.S. is why I'm not familiar with any of the stuff you'd mentioned. ;-)

  • Bass player is the lead singer's brother (who obviously can't sing) and lead guitar was Steve Williams who's played for other big acts when Wa Wa Nee broke up

  • wroooooonggggg

  • @djfobtronics i think you taking the piss thre buddy, well done, red... right

  • @djfobtronics No mate its not Red symonds. He used to play with a band called Sky Hooks

  • @djfobtronics .....no the guitarist is steve williams.....he is not related to red symonds...the former guitarist from the band called skyhooks....and "hey hey its saturday".......

  • oh my god!!! I remember this, i feel old. still love it though.

  • thanks HeyLad

one of my fav Bands ever!!

  • What chart did they use. On Billboard's chart it peaked at a low #35. Anyway the performance was wack as all get out!!

  • Steve always the star of the band in my opinion and has just gone on to bigger and better things...great video - thanks!!

  • Interesting footage, its good to see them perform live

instead of miming all the time. They are very tight and sharp when they perform live, saw them twice, good players.

  • Listen to the sound it was way ahead of its time.

  • LMAO! I love the lead singer's James Brown impersonation towards the end.

  • they were so hot ....loved seeing them last year or the year before in Sydney @ Luna park... they did 4 songs !!! My mate was the event organiser & asked me who I would love to see !!! Also Paul grey was on the sideshow on ABC afew weeks back !!

  • cool, sounds live to

  • my gosh, how did you get this?

  • The information I included along with the video says that I captured this from my own VHS recording of the television broadcast from back in the day. Glad you enjoyed it! :)

  • This is from CBS version of TOTP i remember this
