For some reason I keep coming back to this video.... I love it.... Hey you often cheer me up when I'm down :) I have Logic Pro but I haven't had the heart to dive in yet, I ADORE GARAGEBAND....... Every time I think I've outgrown it, that it won't do something I need it to do, I discover something new and find a way around the issue. It does so much more than you'd think :) Logic Pro is scary lol... but I'm sure I'll try it soon :) :)

FL studio cost anywhere from $49.99 to about ~A SHITLOAD OF MONEY. Seriously, look it up on their website to get all the plugins and stuff.

Garageband? Free on every new Mac. And loops/plugins... you can get them from Software Update for free!

The only problem is my dumb ass figuring out how to utilize it. :)

To play 2 different octaves, I just 'duplicate' the track and play one then the other. All my music's been done on the QWERTY keyboard so far. I LOVE GARAGEBAND!!!!! I've just installed Logic Express, and it's sooooo hard. I could hear a drum track and I couldn't find where it was coming from....felt very stupid..... lol eventually found it and felt like Dr Dre. :P

get fruity loops and "musictype" all you want , then get some vst's and "type" as many different types of sounds as you like. then get yourself a muse or some inspiration and make some music. on windows.:P check my "muscityping" videos on my channel :P

My Linux PC have a five programs that can do music typing and they are all free...

One great Linux music program is called " Linux MultiMedia Studio " Plus Linux PC computers also don't get viruses , and if we need we can run Windows... :) Cheers...

What I usually do is Command-D the track I'm on, to duplicate it, I play to the point where the keyboard finishes, stop, and continue on the other track lol.
