Exactly! I try to avoid buying Made-in China products, but the problem now is that EVERYTHING is made in China! There are some products that you just cannot get locally anymore. Manufacture has completely shifted to the Far East and we have reached a point of no return where a local business would simply be swamped by any competitor that manufactures in China. One day China might decide to turn things around and then we'll be killed by our own greed.

WalMart is not to blame. It is a business, doing what businesses do. In the future, when Chinese quality has gone up, the world will follow in walmart's steps, it's nothing personal against the US, it's just good business.

The writing was on the wall 20 years ago but the chronic tunnel vision of the trade unions prevented any realistic observation of anything beyond the 6 greedy inches in front of their face.
