Thanks for the comment... yeahhh I feel that the viaduct adds that extra bit to the video as its shot from the height which I shooting this clip from... Cheers
@steammanuk Do you know the location? Do you know if you can see trains leaving in that direction from there? The point was to leave the camera running so you could hear it. It's not really that difficult.
Thanks mate, It certainly is a great viewpoint.. as you can overlook the city.. Regarding the sound,it was just simply magnificent listening to the Bullied depart from the station with such a lovely sound that she owns... Cheers mate
Hi David... Thanks for the comment & I must agree with you on that, the sound of the Bullied sounded fantastic.. I thought I wouldn't be able to catch the sound perfectly but playing it back, well theres your answer! it came back perfect... I thought i'd choose this location sometime soon because I havn't really been else where which is different, I feel this worked out well :-). Cheers David, Kind Regards Zac
Thats no problem, yeah I totally agree its nice seeing the whole train in a shot rather than just the loco, but it depends on the location I guess, Many thanks, Zac
That is a really good view from up there. Tangmere always has a good sound of its exaust beats and its Bullied whistle. Do you happen to know any other locations in Bath similar to this Zac?
Cheers Ryan... Regarding the simular location question... I know of one or two locations from a height around Bath... but its around the same piece of track which is based at Newton St Loe.. there is Hill sides surrounding the track one nearer the Bristol End & one on the side of the track where you can see from one end to the other, you cant miss it when your there mate its just getting there lol, if I find anymore i'll tell you.. Cheers Mate. Zac
superb! I saw her twice today! Once at Keynsham then departing Temple Meads. I agree her whistle is amazing! Sadly i didnt get a nice one like you did! excellent! 5*
Cheers Sam, ohh very nice, I bet she looked lovely when you saw her today especially with the weather we had! Sunshine!!!! Not always about horns & whistles, the sound and performance counts the most I reckon :D Cheers Sam
yeh she did perform well i spose. Nice speed and some smoke at Keynsham. Lots of smoke at Temple meads but the sun was a bit of a problem. Thats fine. Tangmeres my favourite loco so enjoy watching vids of her
Jesus Christ... Im not much of a kettle fan myself but thats some great footage, good production and a rather magnificent view! I clap to thee. 5* + Fav
Many Thanks for the nice comment mate, I must say filming my favourite steam loco on a Sunny! day & her sounding fantastic in every way is just simply breath taking... I thought i'd choose a different location for a change & I think it worked with this location... Many thanks mate, Kind Regards Zac
On another note, I am pleased that the new shopping centre (to the left of the station) isn't too much of a great big eyesore.
