whats the point of it in chrome? it will eventuallly rust and no one is gunna see it when ur playing? i think its cool but pointless just get a regular iron cobra power glide pedal
dude those are very VERY hard to find now a days because the chrome version is limited i saw it on ebay ONCE but it was only for pick in AUSTRALIA and those dont rust thats why they are chrome but the original ones rust easily if you play outdoors and what not BETTER KEEP THEM!
has anyone had the chrome starting to lift? and get bubbly and finally have some parts fall off? what can you do to fix it or at least slow this down, is it under a warranty?
lol i used to clue the chrome bits back on.....now i love the look, i cant wait till im old and my double kicks are too...il be like " i bought these way back in 2008" grandchildren would be like WOW!
dude, double-chained or single-chained: it makes almost no difference cause if you can play double pedal, something so small/insignificant as "hh it's soo weird cause it's double-chained" shouldn't be a problem IF YOU CAN PLAY DOUBLE PEDAL...nothing bad here just wanted to say that you seem like a really good guy (not joking), just wanted you to know that it's not an excuse. cause if you want to be a great drummer there ain't no excuses :)
the only minor difference is that the pedal in actualy more steady and it gives you more control and response....because I played on a generic chinese made single chain double pedal for 2 years...I really noticed some diference between them
I absolutely agree with nabsam2. Single or double chain don't make a substantial difference. I've played for a while on a Iron Cobra Jr (single chain) and when I switched to this one, once the pedal was adjusted properly, like the Jr version, there was almost NO difference between the two. The Jr version just felt a LITTLE flimsier hardware wise. The cam style will make a huge difference though. Much more than the chain style. The Power Glide cams are VERY different than the Rolling Glide ones.
I have to disagree and then some! I have the Tama Iron Cobra Jr. pedal at my house on my Starclassics. I went from playing that, to a single week of playing an Iron Cobra. At first, the Iron Cobra was much harder to use than the Jr. pedal, but when I went back to my IC Jr., it felt so unresponsive and less powerful. The less powerful comes from the fact that the double chains provide more power. The finesse factor has to do with it as well as the Cobra Coil.
Yeah when I switched to the Iron Cobra (with Cobra Coil) I tried playing with my PDP single chain double pedal, and now, I hate the PDP. It's so weak and unresponsive, plus it feels as though it wants to fly apart. My lil bro has the PDP now, so he's learning on it like I did! :)
I got that pedal the limited chrome cobra. it ran me about 550$ and i got it down from like 760$ and i live in sweden so drumshit here costs me a shitload but I have to say it is the best pedal ive tried and ive had it for about 10months and i gig with it like every weekend its got a certain funk too it but once you get used to it its really cool
i realy want a double chain, i have a single chain and it is not that responsive at all, it feels like it is trying to pull back on me, therfore i cannot play very fast because it is ghetto, and i used this thing at guitar center, i was flying, too bad it's like 300$, i'll save up :0
im gettin some generic iron cobra pedals. there call ed the action series by cannon percussion. once you see them youll know what i mean. they are very similar!!!!
i had a hp900ptw iron cobra`s powerglide.. but summ people stoled my pedal.. now i wanna buy a tama pedal so tell me summtin.. is there any diference with the iron cobra and this? i mean de lighting and response most of the people say that is the same but im not sure but they looks the same
Axis are amazing pedals the only thing is that you have to get used to play with direct drive i prefer the Iron Cobras i don't like the direct drive =/ plus you have to like use a different tool for everything on the pedal they're not like normal pedals that with an hex and a drum key you can do everything
reliability is the only thing of your meantioned features the double chain actually really provides! This doesn'T have to mean i hate DC, i have a IC with double chain and it works fine..just as a pedal with single chain!!
I love double bass, but hate the double bass pedals. I love two bass drums, it sounds to me much better, the sound is more professional-sounding, and two bass drums on a set just looks badass and makes the set look bigger. Good thing there are Iron Cobra single pedals! :D
I might buy these...a step up from my Vex pieces of shit.
sound control told me i got the last chrome cobras they could order into scotland! i feel very priveliged!!! BUT....the fatal flaw with the cobras, the bar is fucked after only a few weeks use - they'll tell you you tightened it too much, but any other pedals i had could handle a bit of tighteing, no bother, Tama are just assholes!! The pedals themself though are so fuckin' solid! anyone got an idea for a bar from another brand which would fit?
i will buy rolling glide in a few days next, but i kinda confused wish one is the best for speed, response, and control, :S :S for my type of music(death & black metal, harcore, grindcore,...)between power, rolling glide or flexi glide... wich one should be the best... :S :S :S :S
I´ve got rolling glide, which work excellent on control. I also play death metal and think it works fine with speed. However, I guess if ur going for speed, power glide is the right choice for some reason. The flexi glide system is probably just a mechanical choice for those who are used to playing with a strap instead of chain. Guess the only difference between rolling and power, is that power has a different acceleration. Go to a store and try both!
now if you started reading this dont stop its really scary!ok send this to five other videos in 143 minutes. when you are done press F6 and your crushes name will appear on the screen in big letters this is weird because it does work. If you break this chance you wont have a crush in the next five years
everyone talks crap about how slow these are but no one realizes theyve been using the wrong pedal, if you want speed then get the ROLLING GLIDE not the POWER GLIDE.
it depends on which iron cobra you get, ill bet you 500 bucks you used the power glides, the cam setup is meant for power not responsivness. if you want speed and quick responce youll want to go with the iron cobra rolling glide. DO NOT get the 9000s unless you want a collection of broken footboards...
i think if you buy the chrome iron cobras then you are honestly just wasting your money. like anyone is going to see the pedal your playing i mean come on just buy the regular Iron Cobra.
I play a heel up/down hybrid kind of technique. The power of heel up and the stamina and speed of heel down, so I dont to any sliding. Everything i do is from twitch muscles and Axis is the best for that. but when I tried the slide technique on the chrome cobra the other day I didnt find it to much different
Way to go man! Iron cobra all the way (I find chrome a little cheesy and lacking class though.) However, the best peddal in the world will only get you so far. It's your own playing that counts. Ive seen little kids on a shitty little gibralter pedal tear it up
