  • A bientot cigno siciliano! Un sogno svanito nel pieno del successo

  • addio Salvatore. Canta agli angeli.

  • What can you say? Just absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!!

  • Very beautiful, I love it!! :D And good job using some of Dali's more obscure paintings! He's my favorite artist, it's wonderful to see more by him!

  • viva catalunya !!!!

  • Encore encore ...

  • Great video!! Watched it many times. Thank you.

  • Splendide !

  • ALUCINATION DESTROYED DALI BRAIN: AFTOSIS AND HEARTING PROVOQUED AT DISTORTION AND DOBLE CONFUSION ON ARTISTIC EXPRESSION (SURREAL).

  • la tonalità non è quella originale, come il tempo,ma allora è proprio vero che cantano tutti.Rovinare una così bella romanza è un peccato. Cerchiamo di non sput....re la bella musica.

  • ΑΡΙΣΤΟΥΡΓΗΜΑ

  • Mil gracias. Que belleza de conjugacion artìstica, pictòrica y operistica. Paul Colindres.

  • what picture is that at 0:48?

  • I LOVE Salvador Dali! This was great, thanks for sharing this! :)

  • sublime!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I'm showing my ignorance right now--just can't help it. i've always known about dali's work, just never searched it out. i'm wondering, did he do drugs? lsd? i love this music--is this licitra rendition separate from the soundtrack of movie? i adore the soundtrack. i only discovered this music two weeks ago and, true to my character, i am obsessing over it. i wake up with this music running thru my head.

  • @chibinski "I don't do drugs, I am drugs" - Salvador Dali

  • I truly can't breathe from the intensity... Your video is magnificent!

  • Une magnifique vidéo, merci !

  • M A G N I F I C O . . .

  • Sublime esta aria en ydish. Este tenor es de la nueva generaciòn..marravillosa voz..y esta versiòn excelsa..

  • @bettynaify ydish????!!!! Canta en italiano.

  • ma chi canta?

  • Truly this is a very nice tune, The "Yiddish" version is also great, and recently it was used in the film you all mentioned (The man who cried). But please let's do not forget the true way of things. This tune actually is the "Pearl Fishers" of Bizet, it goes a long way backwards in time, and has not anything to share with any man who cried or laughed.!!

  • i love this tune

  • Jonnybrams, the singer's name is Salvatore Licitra, from the soundtrack "the man who cried" with johnny depp.

(there is also a better take from this song in the same album, the "Yiddish")

  • najbol

  • Who is the singer?

  • Salvatore Licitra

  • MI EPIDERMIS DESGASTADA POR TANTAS BATALLAS PERDIDAS MIS NEURONAS HABITADAS POR TANTO CONOCIMIENTO INUTIL Y SUBVERSIVO Y MI ALMA ICONOCLASTA PROCLAMAN SOLEMNEMENTE; QUERERTE SIN AMBIGUEDADES, SIN CODIGOS SECRETOS, SIN NOSTALGIAS; Y SIN CLAUSULAS OCULTAS. ES UNA DECLARACION INGENUA, TRANSPARENTE , Y SIMPLE TE QUIERO jed
  • oh souvenir charmant, folle ivresse, doux reve..!

  • Nice try, uitjuhbol, and you are right, both are amazing expressions of art.

But there is certainly no emotional connection...Maybe Toreador would have been more suited for Dali's art

  • great music for lovemaking

  • Los versos están cantados en italiano. La partitura original es en frances. Igual de lindo.

  • this is amazing..would it be possible to find the piano sheet from somewhere?

  • I see no particular bridge between the song and Dali's art (love both in fact)

  • Hi Georgia2b:

Please try again in an other perspective?

To me , both pieces are of an extra ordinary kind of art, this is for me the simplest bridge to a melancholic "old" art school......of Georges Bizet (1838-1875) and Salvador Dali (1904-1989).

Further: Bizet's famous songs are the Habanera and Toreador, besides je crois entendre encore, both from "Carmen. Dali loved Carmen and heard it during his Paris times where he met Pablo Picasso .

  • This is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard in my life:) Amazing:)

  • I like this version very much.

But I have to admit that I like the way its sang in the movie better.

    Personall i think ;)

  • Not a Dali admirer--even though yo hablo espanol, but I LOVE THE VERSION OF THIS SONG--the best version ever sung...

  • video superbe, Salvador Dali pour la Vue:

    Salvatore Licitra pour l'Oreille:

    Beautiful.............

  • The art is an absolute insult to Bizet's music.

    Pure nihilistic shit.

  • The art is an absolute insult to Bizet's music.

    Pure nihilistic shit.

  • I can understand your reasoning ,but some opera lovers don't like negative comments .

  • I LOVE this music and the movie was fantastic.

Thank you for the upload and the paintings

  • Exquisite paring of art and music!!!

  • Fantastic music! Outstanding voice! Charming pictures!

  • amazing voice!!!!!

  • Fantastic. The music and images go hand in hand.

  • In my opinion and in others as well ,most of the pictures do not go hand in hand with the lyrics of the song as they carry psychetelisticosatanic meanings which have nothing to do with this aria .

  • I was merely referring to the music, itself. I have no idea what the lyrics mean.

  • still believe I hear hidden beneath the palm trees your voice tender and deep like the song of a dove oh night enchantress divine rapture delightful thought mad intoxication, sweet dream in the clear starlight I still believe I see in between the long sails of the warm night breeze oh night...etc.
  • @smartsteve wow, are those the lyrics? gorgeous:)

  • @pantherenoire64 this comes from" Les pécheurs de perles " :de Bizet( le chant de Nadir)

  • What is psychetelisticosatanic?

It looks like surreal art to me.

  • thanks, i really appreciate !

  • Very very nice, I have been looking for this version of the song, and these images work are working just lovely, thank you.

  • I love this version
