Aunty I love your recipes and the simplicity of your kitchen. I have been using your recipes for some of my recipes. So my compliments to you. My kitchen Gurus are my Mom and the Maharaj of the kitchens our great city of Bikaner and Jodhpur.
Everything seems great till you made the sugar syrup. I think the sugar syrup needs to be of candy or the syrup consistency on the candy thermometer. Your recipe gave a completely different taste. So only for this recipe, I feel disappointed.
Aunty, i have a question . How do u manage to keep your stove top so clean and white ??? plz plz tell me. The sides of the burner turn brown and burnt and look rusted. It doesn't go even with bleach. Plz reply aunty, i want stove top like ur's.
You Are Awesme Manjula Aunty,, love that way u cook ... love it .. keep showing us .. ur amazing dishes.. You Are Awesme Manjula Aunty,, love that way u cook ... love it .. keep showing us .. ur amazing dishes..
I'm going to try it today :))Thx a lot for sharing..you are a wonderful cook and you make everything look so simple and your kitchen and utensils are so nice and clean.Really good work :))Bravo..
@Aywaar , I believe the Arab version is different, consisting more of sometime like sugar and sesame paste. I've only seen that and the Indian carrot halwa, so this mung bean one is interesting.
@Sepster147 Definitely! Indian restaurants only serve commercial foods, loaded with creams and oils! Indian food can be quiet healthy depending on the cook!

I never though this would be so easy. The only problem is finding the Moong Dal since there aren't many Indian markets were I live.

I'm learning a lot from your videos. Non-Indians can see a lot of Indian new dishes that they don't have in the restaurants.

can we just use regular split peas?
maysoona99 1 year ago
@maysoona99 I don't think that would work very well -- moong dal is the split version of mung beans, not peas.
