  • Aunty I love your recipes and the simplicity of your kitchen. I have been using your recipes for some of my recipes. So my compliments to you. My kitchen Gurus are my Mom and the Maharaj of the kitchens our great city of Bikaner and Jodhpur.

Everything seems great till you made the sugar syrup. I think the sugar syrup needs to be of candy or the syrup consistency on the candy thermometer. Your recipe gave a completely different taste. So only for this recipe, I feel disappointed.

  • I never though this would be so easy. The only problem is finding the Moong Dal since there aren't many Indian markets were I live.

  • Aunty, i have a question . How do u manage to keep your stove top so clean and white ??? plz plz tell me. The sides of the burner turn brown and burnt and look rusted. It doesn't go even with bleach. Plz reply aunty, i want stove top like ur's.

  • I LOVE THIS DESSERT! i had it once and had no idea what it was called. thank you so much for showing this recipe!

  • Muaahhh! Aunty ... love u so much...u r just like my mom....

  • i tought it was an arab desert...interesting

  • @Aywaar , I believe the Arab version is different, consisting more of sometime like sugar and sesame paste. I've only seen that and the Indian carrot halwa, so this mung bean one is interesting.

  • is it yellow lentils?

  • @lalasha19 yes called split moong daal lentils

  • thank u so very much.... very greatful to u....... love u loads....

  • wow thats yummy...!!!..thanks Manjula Aunti for sharing this recipe.I had been looking for this awesome sweetdish for a long time..!!!..

  • Such a delicious dish!! Thx so much for this video Manjula.

  • Namaste, thanks so much for all your lovely recipes :) x

  • bless your hands, love watching your video, hope you will keep them coming.

    Thanks

  • wow, didn't realize how much ghee and sugar went in making the halwa..

  • @ilinaes yaar halwa is all about ghee and sugar......no halwa is complete without them

  • MMM you should be on food network!

  • I'm learning a lot from your videos. Non-Indians can see a lot of Indian new dishes that they don't have in the restaurants.

  • @Sepster147 Definitely! Indian restaurants only serve commercial foods, loaded with creams and oils! Indian food can be quiet healthy depending on the cook!

  • can we just use regular split peas?

  • @maysoona99 I don't think that would work very well -- moong dal is the split version of mung beans, not peas.

  • Hi Manjula Aunty,

Could you please make a video making Moong Dalh Khichdi, I believe it's a Rajasthani dish.

  • perfect! making this for dinner tomorrow, oh my gosh ^.^
