@HazMaTeX I was so far from "the cool kid"... I'm the quiet weird girl in the back of the class type... I'm ALL for knowledge, any kind is good. If you're educated about the world, you know where you stand in it and can have educated opinions as opposed to ones based on bullshit... The issue I had with this guy was that he was a mockery of education... he certainly didn't inspire any of the kids there to pick up a book because they were too busy laughing at what a fuckin nut he was...

This is why he is substitute teacher and probably at the dead bottom of the call-in list. No normal school system would allow a crackpot like this to influence it's students. Then again kids, watch clowns like this closely because you could end up like him if you just party your way through college and end up with a shitty bachlors of arts degree in something of no meaning or call. They guy is probably 50 years old and still doesn't have his studen loan paid off.

This teacher actually seemed that he cared and wanted to help the students who are already seniors be aware of issues that they should care and be concerned about. You should be thankful that you had this teacher even if it was for a short period of time.

i had a sub come in once and totally read us the riot act about life. i never forgot it. she had more of a lasting impression than all of my regular teachers. not saying this guy did that, but subs can be influential in their own weird way. guess cuz they can say more of what they want since they are only there for a day.

He has the right to believe in the Big brother theory but I'm amazed that he would tell this to young people who are just starting in life. I have subscribed to this from time to time, but he he needs to tell the other side of the spectrum.

The world is crazy enough than to send kids out who may be faced with hard realities such as a poor job market, trouble getting medical insurance, and a rise in gasoline and food.
