One day I saw James Robison (Life Outreach Int'l) on TV talk about how his mother was raped. I thought about how if his mother had aborted him then he wouldn't be around to help all of the people that he does. I was one of those that thought abortion was ok if a woman was raped. I changed my mind after seeing this man's testimony. Murder is never right. Let's go after the rapist and give them more severe sentences and save the innocent babies.

When is execution the "only" way to defend the lives of other human beings from the offender? Once you have them in custody, anything beyond keeping them in prison for life is just an act of vengeance, which the church condemns. Life in prison is also a lot cheaper..

It does not matter who found whom guilty or how insane which type of killing is. What mattered for her argument was that the catholic church is against the death penalty while GW is for it. Yet, GW's appearance was no problem and Obama's is. The hypocrisy which many left wingers see with conservative positions is that life seems to be utterly valuable until born but not so much afterwards in the right circumstances. (you could say the same about the left the other way around btw)

Yeah, I do feel sorry for women who find themselves in desperate situations. But there are other resources. You don't have to kill the baby, adoption is the logical choice for someone who isn't able to raise a child, those who justify killing the baby is just bizarre.

Why aren't they putting all the resourcing into efforts enabling more adoptions? Ummmm, if the women kill their babies, there wouldn't be any point in campaigning for adoption. That being said, a lot of Christian families do adopt or support mothers who are raising their babies with clothing, diapers, furniture and money.

Ummmm, even with women killing their babies children still grow up in children's homes. It's not about "some support" really, it's about making adoptions more attractive on a wider scale. Only then you can say "but hey they could just as well give up their babies for adoption" because so far, giving a child up for adoption especially if that child is black doesn't really promise a decent life for the kid.
