I was 2 years in afganistan. (2005-2007) I saw allot of death, got wounded, and got a ticket back home. I did not cry ONCE when i was out there, but now when i saw the end of this movie, a tear roled down from my left eye.

This was the worst time in human history,,the keyword is history. WWII ended 76 years ago. This movie is about a perspective of what it was like back then at that terrible time. Most people know that there were heros and villians on all sides. It will always be a painful memory but don't let it change your perspective of today. It is history just as today will one day be history.

He's not, although I would like to point out the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand and the Great Depression were the short-term events that caused WWI and Hitler's consolidation of power respectively.
The long-term effects for these events to happen were the long-time frictions and alliances within the great European powers at the turn of the century and Hitler's oratorical skills that made him and his political party stand out during the '20s.
