@avachica no the dimonadback at Kings Island is a hyper coaster and this one is a giga coaster like the milluim force at Cedar Point. This ride is 305 feet tall and the dimondback at Kings Island is 230 feet tall.

this coaster is good! but, it will need to be changed! they put trim breaks on the first drop and due to black outs on the first tuen, but even with the trim breaks, you still black out! they should do like a over banked turn all the way up to the top of the cammelhill just after the first turn. and just turn the cammel hill into a gentel slope going down!

i went on it 3 times! i got really dizzy after the first drop and couldnt see much. Other than that i enjoyed it very much! makes the dominator seem like nothing! :)

For those people who think this coaster needs more airtime, or Millennium Force sucks cos there's no airtime, these two coasters were built for one thing: SPEED, and lots of it. Some people want strictly speed while others go for the airtime. If you prefer the airtime, I personally think the wooden coasters outdo the steel ones when it comes to airtime. The oldest coaster in CP, Blue Streak, while small, delivers some intense airtime.

magnum is a hyper coaster (200+ feet tall) and has a different layout for track. those are built for airtime, these as you can tell which are giga's have to have this design for the speed of the coaster.  going 90+ on the magnum style track is very dangerous but these are built for speed and airtime will just take the speed away from it.

I have been to Holiday World (Big Mistake), Disneyworld (Boring as.....) and Seaworld was boring too but It was ok somewhat. I used to buy season passes to Kiddie Gardens every year but I got sooooo bored as soon as I walked into the park that I knew right then I wasted $500. BGE is the worst park in the world. Yeah Six Flags is 2nd, Kings Dominion is 1st. Dominator, Volcano and Intimidator are both taller and faster than Loch Ness Monster. Apollo is just a stupid typical every-day hyper (Nitro, Diamondback, Behemoth and Intimidator at Carowinds are better), Alpengeist may be the tallest inverted but it is not fun at all, Griffon is no longer worlds tallest dive. No, its not. And I know a lot of other people who have said the same thing, that it doesnt really up to the hype surrounding it.

To me, its slow and boring, and all about airtime. Personally, im not a huge fan of positive g's, but more of 0 or negative g's, which a ride like Bizarro or Millenium Force or TTD delivers everytime.

As for the trims, yes, there are 3 trims on Diamondback, confirmed by Ryan the engineer coordinator at Kings Islands, whom I've spoken to on several occassions.

Diamondback isnt all that great. I've ridden it about 20 times this year, mostly in the front and back seats, and there is just too much airtime, too many trims, and not enough speed, making it slow and boring at times.

And the drops between MF and D'back are worlds apart. Drop on MF is 300 at an 80 degree angle while D'back is 225 (iirc) at a 74 degree angle.

Intimidator will be 85 degree angle w/a 300 foot drop, with no trims or no slowing down. Give me 0 g's over positive g's anyday.

Diamondback blows and Son of beast is shut down. Im 10 minutes from Kings Island and we were so dissappointed with KI this year and D'back that we got platinum passes just so we could go to Cedar Point a dozen or more times this summer. MF, Maverick, TTD, and even Raptor all kick D'backs candy a-s-s.

Intimidator 305's drop looks sick though, comparable to MF, and it doesnt have any trims slowing it down. Should be a great ride though, even if it is 1600 foot shorter than MF.
