@LAGirlFriend I interpret it as the weight of his lack of self confidence. He feels like his friends don't actually like him and are just leaving him behind, when really he's just beating himself up. That's why it always rains on him, because he won't let himself be happy, and i thinks that's what he means by being held up by invisible men, he has a problem that doesn't actually exist.

Wow...blown away...I had never heard the song before last night. I was watching a show on the BBC and they played it at a funeral. Everyone inthe church was singing along and it was incredibly emotional. A haunting song and perfect for a funeral celebration. I had to look it up on the internet to hear it again.
