@ANTINARUTO1 yup! get your grip to level 2+ and when you get into the first hold, instead of taking the ladder down jump over the edge and climb across, you NEED level 2 grip to make it so grind those pull-ups before you go. first hold the guy spawns and walks past and misses you, theres one, run through the second hold into the 3rd, other 2 are on that catwalk, took me time to figure out how to get up there XD

You need full Life or a Grip level up.

this is substance. cuz ive done this extreme on normal mgs2 and you can't get dog tags from any of the marines. thats new to substance.

It was added in the European and Asian versions of SoL (which were released a few months after the US version).

This run is almost exactly the same as a Substance one would be, though.

That is bullshit!

I had Original MGS2, not substance. (Substance was not even released when I played on PS2) There is a way to collect from marines. Not all having them, only some of them. You need to do pullups to get longer hangin level to get all of them, also you need stealth camouflag when collecting dog tags from middle of marines. And you need to put alot of marines into sleep with the "blue gun" so they won't detect you.

Also years later I've played Substance with Xbox, there is no difference between those when collecting dog tags.

At original MGS2 on playstation 2 I've collect 215 dog tags of 218. I never got 218 cause I forgot to collect 3 on extreme difficult. (There is no dog tags to count on european extreme difficult)

Sons of Liberty, but it's the European version, which is almost identical to Substance. The only differences here are a few twitches on entering areas in SoL, and the Tengu coolant trick doesn't work nearly as well in Substance.

There's two or three marines in each Hold with a tag. I'd take a look at a guide on GameFAQs etc for info on which marines to hold up.
