Definitely not true. But it performed extremely well in WW1& 2, especially considering Germany was not historically a maritime nation.

I think you can himself calculate industrial potential, number of mineral resources, population of enemies and the length of the front line. Germans build more then 1000 submarines, and supported it while allies bombed their citys .

Conclusion: find other fleets in history wich was so efficient in so awful conditions

Allied bomber command were amazed how fast the "Germans" rebuilt and repaied things after being bombed. Only after the war did it become known that slave workers (mostly from Eastern Europe) were employed by those huge German companies, and had to do all the hard work of re-building.

Since most jews were shipped off to concentration camps in Poland, and German women stayed at home, slave workers had to to all the hard work. Under threat you'll work wonders...

I was wondering, can you actually hear the ultrasonic wave bouncing off the hull of a sub? I know humans can't hear it but I just thought maybe they become audible in a sub, also can you really hear the ships above? Or is it just cinematic effects for the ambiance of the movie.
