i agree, it gives me the same feelin and sumtimes if there is a singer that has amazing vocals, or a guitarist with amzin skills i just cant look away and feel that way too...... and this is one o those moments with both o those things happening lol

its just like when bob dylan went acoustic people didnt like it as much but i think it sounds awesome either way, sure him and a guitar is way more intimate, but with a full band he can explore the sound of the song even more than before just my opinion

Does anyone know what kind of guitar Sam is playing? I thought it might some a vintage Epiphone or maybe even a Guild, but I haven't been able to confirm one way or another. Hagstrom or maybe a relic'd Eastman?

And this is a fresh version compared to the acoustic.

i absolutely love this song and have had the pleasure of seeing it in live performance on a number of occasions. no disrespect to sam, the band, or any fans, but i prefer sam and a guitar (and maybe sarah w/vocals and tamborine) to the band. thanks for posting, still love the vid, excellent quality.

My oldest son compiled a disc with some of his favorite songs and gave it to me as a gift. This song was one of them and I found myself nearly weeping I thought it was so beautiful. It was the acoustic version from The Creek Drank The Cradle cd. I was extremely moved by this gift from my son.

not sure about that... there is a video where sam beam is alone with his guitar and since he is limited to what he can do with just 1 guitar he actually sings the sounds form the lead guitar, it just sounds amazing.

i'm not saying it's a bad thing, i just thing that some songs that are originally written on his acoustic often sound best that way... don't get me wrong; i love the video and the arrangement, it was just a general comment. if i didn't like this, i definately wouldn't like the new album which i LOVE by the way.
