  • thanks man! ;-)

  • first of all the video was very helpful . ok i have a 2004 yamaha 660 raptor and im going to replace the clutch kit but had a question ever since i bought the quad brand new the clutch lever has always been pretty hard to pull in is there something else i need to look for to solve that problem ?

  • hey i got my buddy's cr125 and when we took the old clutch plates out and there was little bumps on the tabs of the clutch hub. like were the friction plate keeps the hub from moving, would u recoment to get a new one?

  • How do I tell if my clutchs are bad

  • Thanks very much mate really help me out and save my a few ££££ labour

  • @tooextrememx Hey im having problems with my yamaha warrior 350's clutch, its getting stuck and is making the atv barley move. im not very good with mechanics but this video seems to make sence with me, is the problem with my atv the plates needing changed or is it serious? im wondering where i need to drain the oil from and where to put it in aswell? do i need to change the gasket aswell? reply asap!

  • Nice video thanks. Please post more!

  • this video is very simple now i know how to do my clutch.

  • nice vid. every helpful for a first timer.

  • my 05 blasters clutch will not engage and I can only get it to shift from neutral to 1st an thats it. The clutch when pulled is pulling the shift bar where the actual clutch cable hooks to but when I pull it, the clutch isn't pushing out to disengage. The clutch plates are Barely touching the inside of the hub you put on last with the springs. Its like the clutch rod isn't long enough? I just don't see why it wont atleast shift into all gears. My tranny fried? gear shifter does have play as far

  • @mutton1986 as moving in and out of the case. There was no metal shavings in the fluids so I don't think anything was sheared. also the clutch basket the clutch plates and friction plates go in is scuffed up a bit like it was rubbing against something but once again there were no metal shavings found. Please help if you can. Any help would be appreciated, in this economy I can't afford for a mechanic to fix it, plus I'm a man who enjoys fixing his own things :) thanks bud

  • good vid. thanks

  • Thanks

  • can i ask what oil you use in your yfz? Or what do you recommend? I use castrol gtx and my friend said that its not good to use.

  • I have a question what oil and what do you mean by manual to tighten it? I have a yfz450 also I want to do the work myself I enjoy this stuff but I don't want to screw up the video helped a lot but when you didn't tighten the clutch I don't know what to do from there if you can help with steps... Please email me at varela760@yahoo.com

  • should you have it in neutral when you do this or first?

  • Ok, im really new to this and i want to learn how to work on my own bike to cut down repair cost so here is my stupid question. which oil do i have to drain to replace the clutch? i know the motor oil had the bolt on the bottom to drain it but if it is the transmission fluid then where is the plug to drain it? i have a 2007 kx250f btw

  • Thank you your tutorial was helpfull

  • i have a 2001 raptor 660. I wanna replace my clutch. bc when i gas it sometimes it feels as if it is slippin. but then sometimes it wont. idk. but i think it could be the clutch. i want to get a good clutch kit. i heard tusk suck. ?? can you help me. iv never done this

  • thanks man this video really helps and you explained everything i needed to know :)

  • can u put an auto clutch in a dirt bike/4 wheeler that has a manual clutch??

  • Since you changed the clutch do you by any chance have a video of how to adjust the clutch on a yfz 450. I will be changing my clutch soon. Thanks

  • do u need the 2 spacers that are between your first fiber and steel plate or can u just have fiber no spacers steel...i have a 2008 yfz 450

  • i have a ltr450 and when i ride it sometimes it goes to nutrual my itself is it the cluch???

  • @ThePolarisracer19 is it when you shift into 2nd?

  • My son has a 2005 raptor 600r and he flipped it now the clutch acts like it is slipping he tried to ride not it completely slips in every gear I an disabled on SSDI and he pulled out the clutch assy that the cable hooks to and looked down the hole every thing looks ok is it possible one of the discs got damaged ?

  • @ncrdisabled make sure the actuator arm is adjusted properly when he wrecked it may have hit the clutch lever hard and caused the cable to stretch and knock things out of adjustment.

  • @Tooextrememx

He was and me unlucky it ended up being his whole clutch plates some how got damaged during the wreck .

I took it to a ATV place they took it apart and showed me the plates were bad some how the wreck did it to 3 out ou 5 plates and now they have to replace the whole clutch plates and clutch release mechanism. I am disabled so its gonna cost 210.00 or maybe a little more.

I do not know haw a wreck could have caused this damage but it did.

  • when I pull my clutch in it doesn't release at all..are my pads gone?

  • awsome video.but my bike is doing the same thing as "happywombatproducts" kx 125 is doing. stalling when i shift to first without giving it gas, and also while in first with my clutch completely in, and giving gas, it moves foward little by little. and my bike also stalls out when im riding, hold the clutch in, and hit the back break. could you maybe send me a message on what the actuator arm is, and maybe what to do to fix the non disgaging if thats wut i call it? i own 2003 Cr125. thanks

  • Hey man i got a raptor 700 and when ever i punch it in a high gear like 4th and just cruising it i hear the motor rev up like as if its topped out!! its goes a little but i dont feel a punch and if i look back the rear wheels arent even tearing up dirt!!! any succestions?? SLIPPING CLUTCH???? HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!

  • hey i have a 2004 yfz 450 i have heard of people putting the steel plates in dry? should i soak both plates or just the fibers?

  • @forrestevans steel plates don't really need to soak.i usually just coat the steels with i little oil befor i install them.

  • @forrestevans can you make a video to get to the shift shaft

  • do i soak the steel plates and the fiber plates?? ive heard of people putting the steel plates in dry??

  • when i put it in first and go to take off my beer falls on the ground what seems to be the problem is it the clutches or is it something else please help

  • with my clutch on my kx 125, when you pull the clutch in and pop it into first it will just stall out unless your giving it gas, is that normal? because on every single machine ive ever ridden it can sit in first with the clutch pulled in an idle without giving it gas can someone please help?

  • @happywombatproducts most clutch not disengaging issues is caused by the actuator arm being out of alignment.there are marks that must line up where the arm is and the caseing.

  • Hi I have a rm 85 04 and when it's just started before it warms up my clutch won't disengage like I put it in gear and put in the clutch it will still be moveing and until it warms up a bit or say I'm I gear and I shut or off I can start it in gear when the clutch is pulled in I thinks it's the clutch but I'm not sure please reply thanks

  • hey dude my clutch seems to slip at high revs, got race spec pipe so slipping when it hits powerband :( oh its a 2t by the way. the clutch has gone from engaging after very little release to basically all way out i can induce clutch slip when accelerating by tapping the lever. would this be the actual clutch or the cable ?? by slip i mean the revs keep rising smothly but it takes awhile for the power delivery

  • @jackojeff sounds like the fiber clutch plates are about toasted.

  • Great video.

I just bought a 2003 KX100 runs great but I'm having an issue with the clutch. I cannot start it when its in gear, it has to be in neutral. If I am in gear and i pull the clutch lever, my bike will not roll thus I cannot bump start it. It seems like the clutch lever does not work but when the bike is running I am shifting up and down just fine. How do I fix this?

  • I have a big clutch problem on my kx 100 but dont know what to get for it? When its in nuetral it seems like its in gear and it wont budge even when i pull the clutch in it wont budge so i took ti off and tweeked around the springs and now its making a grinding noise when i try kick it or move it! :S HELP!!??? :(

  • @woodydasotonman what year is your bike.

  • @Tooextrememx Its a 1995

  • @Tooextrememx Hello mate its a 1995

  • @woodydasotonman

i have the exact problem on my mate sons kx65 if you have found out any were could you please please let me no thanks

  • if mine takes a few seconds to engage what does that mean?

  • @davison1021 sounds like you clutch is starting to go bad.what you can try is while it is rolling along put it in a high gear and rev it up a little and drop the clutch if it jumps forward the clutch is good if not it is going bad.

  • @Tooextrememx thank you i figured out it was grooves in the case

  • you should show what happens when you push the clutch :[

  • Good job man really helps me..

  • great video.

  • hey man please aweser this my bike clutch will not engage when i rev it high it just sits there like its in nerturl when when the rpm drops it engages and when im in gear and the bikes in gear i pull the clutch in and it grabs until i give it a shot of gas and it will stop without stalling. do i need a new clutch i bought the bike and it was like this i can post a video of it please help me im 15 and this is my first real problem with my bike thanks

  • @billyman1221 it sounds like your clutch is totally smoked.time for a new clutch kit.

  • best clutch change video yet i thought it would be a bigger job than that but it looks fair enough thanks alot brother

  • next day when i let it run for about 5 mins and i shifted while holding my clutch it just popped forward again... I'm tired of having this problem because when i leave at school and i shift properly and my bike shoots forwards and dies everyones laughing and telling me i have to learn how to use a clutch... Altough i ride a 125 dirtbike wich does not have this problem. could you tell me what might be the problem ?? altough nice tutorial

  • hey there i have a little probel mwhen i hold my clutch on my 50cc aprilia sx and i shift it in 1st gear sometimes it does shift in gear and my bike goes forward like when you shift without holding the clutch. Then it stops and the engine quits running. I tried to lube my cable changed all the fluids but still i'm having that problem my dad told me it could be because of a cold engine. So the next time i fired it up i let it run for about 5 mins then the problem did not occure but the

  • wow nice vid i got a question to,, on my bike its all fine and works perfect its a 2 stroke 50cc its a little slow but when it warms up its good but then i have it in gear and pull in the clutch it locks in the wheel still so i have to have it in nutral when the engines off to move it anywhere would it be worth doing this or somthing else or is it because its a 2 strokee or somthing??

  • thnx a bunchoz

  • Hello great tutorial thanks a bunch, question how do you soften the clutch pull ya know like when the clutch was when you first got your bike? possible old springs?

  • @yourneck2 make sure you lube the clutch cable real good it takes some time working the lube threw the cable housing but that will help make it easier to pull in the clutch.if that still don't help then replace the clutch basket, the basket over time the basket starts to get grooves that tend to make it harder to pull the clutch in.

  • heyy i got a ktm sx 85 and when i start on a hill it feels like something is grinding when i let the clutch out. I have a hydrolic clutch system. What should i look for to fix problem thanks.

  • @SX85RIDER sounds like the friction plates are going bad.thats the most common cause of grinding sounds.

  • hey guys!

i´ve got a problem with the clutch at on my yfz 450,

i tried to change the friction plates, but i can´t loosen the bolts for the springs!

the bolts are all cross-headed - is this normal???

or can it be that the first owner has changed the clutch and didn´t take the original bolts???

    please help me!

can´t change the plates until the bolts aren´t loosen

    :(

    thx!

  • @Moccabrinski they look like they are Philips head screwdriver style bolts?

  • @Tooextrememx

the problem isn´t one anymore :)

    i´ve changed the plates now...thx

  • wow you couldnt make it look any easier.thanks man.oh and when i hold in the clutch, put bike in 1st gear,it like grabs and dies....and if i do get it goin it revs through the gears but goes about 20 mph tops.what do you think the problem is? 97 RM125 any help is appreciated.

  • @rm250fan sounds like the clutch arm wasn't lined up properly after the clutch was installed.there should be an arrow on the case and on the arm that need to line up befor you attach the cable to the arm.

  • sweet 4 wheeler a yfz450 i rode one for a year my friend had one and it was fun

  • Comment removed

  • awsome helped so much i have a much better idea of what im doing. thanks

  • Question I installed my clutches I believe their correct being my final plate was a fiber, I removed my clutch cable before installation but now my clutch lever/arm doesn't have any tension what do I do ?

  • @tre535 check to make sure that the springs are good and tightened down properly also it is posable the ball bearing in the center hole where the pressure platecenter lines up the bearing didn't fall out.

  • change out my clutch on my atv now i have to let out the clutch almost all the way for it to engage before i let it out just a little it would engage. what u think casueing problem?

  • @EMDSD90 what is the year and model of it.

  • do u NEED to drain the oil before opening it?

  • @HALOFREAK95 usually you should change the oil when you put a new clutch in but if you have already put fresh oil in you can always tip the bike or quad onto it's side so the clutch side is facing up.this way you don't lose oil when changing the clutch.

  • @Tooextrememx ok thanks. but i have a yamaha warrior 350. year 2002 i think. and the clutch lever is really hard to pull in. what can be causing this? and how can i make it smooth?

  • @HALOFREAK95 there are usually 2 causes for this 1 is grime has built up in the clutch cable, you can spray a good cable lube or another type of silicone lubricant into the cable sleeve to see if that helps.also while you have the clutch plates out look at the clutch basket to see if there are deep groves along the edge that the fiber plates touch.if the groves are bad it will cause the clutch to be stiff which then you will need to replace the basket.i think it is more the cable just needs lube

  • thanks man. great video. i hope i dont run into trouble replacing the basket as well.

  • I have a can bombardier can am tnt enduro and the clutch isnt working. when I pull the clutch I think the plates arnt pulling apart or something. ( I dont know much about bikes). I think its also a rotax engine. Also How do I know if its a wet or dry clutch? thanks.

  • @DynamoDylan with the clutch pulled in does it still move if it does and the level feels normal your clutch might be totally burnt out and the plates have welded themselves together.

  • @Tooextrememx I think it might be burnt out because the wernt moving but when i use the kick starter I can see it move and I can also change the gears wwithout the clutch when the bikes not running, so im thinking there might not be enough tension on the cable or something.

  • The video is really helpful I just want to ask if you know:

If a bike needs a clutch will that keep the bike from starting or would the bike not starting be another problem

  • @speedsk8ter94 if a clucth goes bad the bike should still start it will just have problems moving.

if your bike or quad will not start you have to look at the standard checklist

    1. is fuel getting to engine.

2.is there spark when the engine turns over.

3.is there proper compression in the cylinder.

if anyone of those 3 are a NO then you r bike/quad will not start.

  • thank you for this video, it was extremely helpful, just wondering you mentioned soaking the plates, i have a rm 125 what do you do for that?

  • @laxmonster39 you get a large bow a empty butter tub might work and put about 1 quart of new oil in it then put all the fiber clutch plates in 1 at a time and let them soak for at least 24 hours befor you put them in your bike.you also wana make sure you are soaking them in the same type of oil you will use in your bike.

  • @Tooextrememx thank you for responding i, am getting my clutch now, i dont know what to get carbon fiber or kevlar? what is better? what should i get? kevlar is cheaper for 100 a kit and carbon fiber is 160 a kit? if you could get back to me that would be great.

    thanks

  • @laxmonster39 i personally prefer the Kevlar because the carbon fiber doesn't have as positive of a response when it engages as the Kevlar.

also if it is a yamaha it is better to go with an OEM clutch from yamaha because they last and preform better then alot of clutches i have used.

  • so how would i replace a cluth on a 47cc engine? same way?

  • @digitalsickness4 most of the small engines have a differant style clutch system.i will try to get one of my friends to loan me one of there bikes to show how they work and how to replace them.

  • I took my clutch cover off and when i tried to remove the spring loaded bolts the whole hub just spins and its like impossible because of how tight they are in there. Any advice on how to get the the tensioner plate off?

  • @caddy1119 does the moto sound like it is turning also? a trick i have used is put it in gear when loosening the bolts if you are having a prod with it turning over the motor.

  • @Tooextrememx I dont really know what u mean but i cant even put the bike in gear because the hand clutch uses something in the side cover to put it in gear and also the clutch cover holds the oil so i had to drain it.

  • @caddy1119 it don't need to be running to put it in gear and the clutch don't have to be pulled in.all you have to do is rock it back and forth and push the shifter down into first gear once it is in gear it should bea easyer to loosen those bolts.

  • @Tooextrememx Thanks for helpin me, its a shit chinese bike i'm just gonna get rid of it.

  • when you do this do you have to replace the steeel plates too?

  • @curtismundy not allways you want to check the steels to make sure they are not warped and are not worn down.

  • Hey great videos by the way! Hey when i was working on my clutch the inner clutch boss hub spun a full motion what does that mean and will it effect my timing? Im nervious that if i start it, it will run bad.

  • @ABPaintingmontana It will not effect anything that actually is what happens when the motor is running and you pull the clutch

  • are these clutches wet type clutches, because you say to soak the fibers in oil for 24 hours...

  • @UncleBubbles94 yes they are wet clutches.about 95% of all motorcycles have a wet type clutch some use transmission fluid and some use the oil from the crankcase always ask a dealer what type of fluid is used on your machine.

some bikes out there use dry clutches the dry clutches are made from similar material to brake pads and because of that they cannot get any oil on them.

  • when i remove the clutch cover should i reseal up my engine with a sealent and could you explain the oil soaking please thanks alot

  • @ARR101494 when you soak the fiber plates it allows them to become moist with the oil befor they are used.if you don't do this befor you put the plates it you could burn the plates causing them to slip and or fail.it is kinda like rubbing 2 sticks together at 3000 rubs per minute which basically if someone could phisicaly do that you would have a fire almost right away.also most companys make a gasket for the clutch cover never ever use sealer it could get in oil and cause clutch to slip.

  • when squeeze my clutch handle, the pressure plate dosnt push out. whats my problem? my handle wont come back out after i squeeze it too. my cable is properly adjusted

  • @forbzy61 did you just replace your clutch?if you did there is a ball bearing a little smaller then a marble that sits in that center hole that the throw out bearing for your pressure plate goes in.you see the actuator for the clutch at 7:50 in the video.if you pulled that out when replacing your clutch there is that ball bearing behind it that may have fallen out.

  • @Tooextrememx ya i did just change my plates. and thanks allot! when i took it out i didnt see one at all so thats probly/ hopefully the problem. i bought it used not too long ago and allot of parts were missing. i also had a friend look at my clutch (before i changed the plates) and he was playing with the actualtor so it could have fallen out then. Thanks allot, ill let you know how it goes

  • @forbzy61 i wouldn't doubt that the bearing fell out cuz it is quite common.the bearing is only like a $2-3 part so no big expence there to get it working right.good luck and let me know how everything works out.

  • @Tooextrememx hey thanks for the help. everything is good now, that ball was definitly the problem. i had to replace the cam release as well. it was really stripped and the clutch wouldn't grab at all. anyway, thanks allot!

  • @forbzy61 glad i could help and hope you have fun trowing some dirt around now.

  • dude this helped alot thanks i was wondering do i oil the springs to??

  • @lilrob22amy No no need to oil the springs.

  • I have a 91 kdx200 when i put my clutch in and put it in gear it stals out i all ready tryed adjusting it i bought the bike like this can u help me plzzz

  • @DudexItsxKenny sounds like the clutch arm on the engine is not lined up properly.the arm should have a mark on it and there should be a mark on the case where the arm attaches with the cable off they should line up perfect when you push it with 1 finger lightly untill it stops.if not remove the arm and realine.

  • When my bike is in gear and the clutch is fully depressed there is still resistance in the back wheel basically it doesnt move freely (note all slack is taken up in cable) Also before I got a new lever I was riding the bike clutchless and power shifting. When I put the new lever this was the problem. So would I just adjust the plate outwards a little?

I'd apreciate it if someone could help me out, thanks.

  • @BenBradford1 i get the same with my quad when the engine is off and quad in gear and i try to roll it it seems to drag.this in my opinion lets me know that my clutch is still in good shape.now if your quad tends to roll when the clutch is pulled in and engine is running while in gear your clutch arm may be out of alignment.

  • my bike wont go into gear so my clutch is worn and i just have to change my plates wich is buying a cluth kit right

  • @MrLALO805 try putting the bike in gear when the motor isn't running.if it will not go in gear there is a problem with the shift forks or the transmission itself not the clutch

  • hay this is very helpful thanks

  • Yess this video really helped! Thanks :)

  • did u ever get a chance to make the how to clean a carb video

  • @rdizzle0042 yes i did and i am sorry i have not posted it yet as me net has been really bad it took almost a whole day to upload that last video i did and it was only 250mb.i will see about using someone elses net to upload it and a few other vids.

  • did u ever get a chance to make the how to clean a carb

  • nice video

  • could u show me how to install new clutch springs thanks :) nice video by the way it acually made since

  • @billy32g replacing the clutch springs are pretty easy in the video you see me remove the 6 bolts in the preasure plate.well those 6 bolts are where the clutch springs are all you have to do is take the old springs out and put the new springs in.you don't even have to remover the preasure plate

  • Nicely done!

  • nice video, i had no clue hot it would be but now i know i could do it, anyway because i got 2007 xmoto 250cc and when i squeez the lever all the way it makes a weired sound and when i ease off it stop making it. and also most of the time it dont hold very well like it would be pulling the bike forward a bit, and another problem is when i let off the gas makes an annoying ratteling noise, any idea?

  • did u make the video .

  • i will be putting it together this week befor the weekend.i had a few family issues that took up all my time the past 2 weeks.

i also have a few other vids that will be done also.

  • ok cant wait for the carb video thanks .

  • ok cool now when i take the carb off the bike how do i remove the cable connected to it .

  • no you don't since there is not alot to the carb that needs cleaning it don't have to be fully removed from the quad/bike.

  • ok thanks man what should i look it under when u make the video.

  • as long as you subscribe to my channel by clicking the yellow subscribe button in the discription of this video you will be notified and my new videos will show in your subscribsion section on your youtube home page.

  • thanks for reply man im gonna give it a go!

  • no prob hope i helped.

if you have any idea's for a video you would like to see feel free to send me a message and i will post one up.

don't forget to subscribe if you already havent to see my upcoming videos.i will be doing riding tip videos along with just general riding videos.

  • hey wondering if you can make a how to clean a carb im new to this and want to do it my self thanks let me know when u make the video.

  • good suggestion i can do a general how to video on that since all carbs are pretty much the same.

i will work on throwing something together here in the next few days.

  • @rdizzle0042

there's many ways, one of which is to put your carb in a can of gas, let it chill for a couple minutes then just take it out and wipe it down. its that easy. the gas will not hurt anything as the carb comes in constant contact with the gas.

  • oh and great vid 5 stars

  • dude you sure the metal plates round edge and all can go any ways? i got a rattle in my ktm 400 thinking of taking the clutch off and having a look, do you need to replace a gasket or seal on the clutch covers on most bikes?

  • yes the metal plates can face either direction.usually when i got a rattle in my clutch either the clutch springs were bad,not tightened down properly,or i didn't soak the fiber plates in oil long enuff befor i installed them.

i good rule of thumb is to soak you plates for at least 24 hours befor putting them in.

  • you sure the round egdes dont matter on the metal plates?

  • when putting them in there is no special way they have to face.

  • i think my cluch is fried when i hit it into first gear out of nutrual my bike eather shuts down or pops a fatty wheelie there is no smooth start unless i have one of my buddies give me a little push start

  • sounds kinda like you clutch plates are frozen together.

what you should do is pull the plates out and see if the fiber is gone off the plates.

  • Looks pretty easy. I've got a 2000 kx 125 and when I start it up and put it in first the bike just goes into first like I wasnt even pulling the clutch. Basically I pull in the clutch and nothing happens, does this sound like it need what was done in this video? If so, how much do the parts cost on average?

  • sounds like you have bad clutch springs.if you havent done anything to the clutch and this all of the sudden started your clutch springs may have broke,or you clutch plates are binding up on something in the basket.

parts prices range alot form place to place you should be able to get a complete clutch kit for a kx125 for around 150-200 bucks

  • @Tooextrememx right on, thanks man, Just ordered a clutch kit. hopefully it fixes it!

  • i have a kx 85 2005 model, friction plates were £46.00/ springs where £8.50, hope this gives you some guid of how much to expect to pay for parts, jay

  • Thanks for posting this, is so different from a car clutch.

  • What brand is that gold cap?

  • that is actually the cover for my Ready Racing Stainless Steel oil filter.check out my other videos cuz i did a Review on the filter.

the cover originally was black anodized but faded over time to the copper gold color.

  • i did it and it does push out when i press the clutch lever and the arm does move

  • 1996 rt 180

  • follow the clutch cable down to the engine and locate the the arm the cable connects too make sure that is moving back and forth when pulling the clutch level.next what i would do is pull the cover off the clutch side and look at the clutch when pulling the lever to make sure the pressure plate is moving when you pull the level in if it is not you may have a broken push lever assembly or push rod system parts.

  • it feels easy

  • what kind of bike is it Year,Make,Model

  • well its not welded because i the clutch apart and the plates are all good with grip is it possible because of the springs

  • does it feel like normal when you pull the clutch lever or is it really easy or hard to pull.

  • yea hello umm see u no how when ur in gear and u press the clutch the bike should move freely well mine u press the clutch it doesnt disenage do u no tht cld be

  • when you pull the clutch level in does it feel really loose or does it feel the same as it normally would.

if it feels normal there is a good posability that your clutch is so far gone that the the fiber has worn right off and the remaining steel has welded itself to the other steel plates causing the clutch not to disengage when you pull the lever.

  • thanks for your video

  • glad it helped

  • This video was very helpful. I am about to do this on my KX250. Good job explaining! Thanks!

  • i am glad it helped

there is also a trick you can do if you don't wana drain any oil.you lay the the bike gentely on its s
