That guy is DEFENITELY not a morse code operator. What he is doing is just fiddling a bit with the morse key to look nice for the camera. But what he is doing has nothing to do with morse code.
I even wonder if the whole video is real footage; it looks like a modern re-enactment to me, shot somewhere in West Virginia during the summer.
This is without any doubt one of the best footage i have seen about special forces/advispors in Vietnam, it is so crisp you have a feeling you are actually there, thanks a lot for posting, wish there was more of this stuff though !!!

The radio is the ANGRY NINE (AN/GRC-9), not the GRC-109. The GRC-9 is an evolution of the BC-1306 from WWII.
