iswitched to net10 after i had so many months where my job required me to travel and use my phone alot, my carrier charged me for every thing and the bills i got where massive, after a college told me about net10 i gave them a try, you can travel any where and always have signal, and they have about the best unlimited plan ever, i saved about $50 a month, and it was always the same hassle free service, the phones are great, they are not like the older cheap prepaid phones,
I have to admit that I was dissapointed with the quality of this phone. I was expecting the camera to be better. It does the job, but I love to take pictures and this wasnt doing it. But I love love the price! I pay $50 a month for the unlimited plan and its the best decision ever. Its helping me save for a real camera! hahaha
i like how this phone comes with a camera although the picture quality isn't the greatest i love how net 10 also you to pre-pay your minutes so i'm not stuck with a contract and i only pay for what i use
I have to agree with the other comments, NET10 is a total money saver without any traps or issues so far for me. What's even better is after I signed up in September, I find out about the new unlimited plan and I can easily upgrade to it with no contract catch and only $25 more a month. I don't know any other company that has so many deals you can move between.
Net10 has an incredible service since it's partnered with Verizon. I get calls and texts where ever I am, with no problems. It's a major plus to an already great deal considering you get unlimited talking and texting for only 50 dollars.
I think that )>10$ for one minute of talk time is pretty darn cheap. This is the cheapest rate that I have been able to find and thank goodness I no longer have to be locked into a contract
really solid phone, does the basics real well and you really can't go wrong with net10 (best rates on calls and texts and great coverage). I've had this phone for 9 months and i love it, does just what i need
@kiandre2 THey now have an awesome unlimited everything plan at just $50. If you are a heavy user this is definitely the way to go. I was spending close to $50 on refills anyway so I'm definitely switching to unlimited. They sell them at walmart.
I have this phone and it's alright. The radio tuner is nice, the camera takes okay pictures, and the sound quality is pretty good. Unfortunately, the games it comes with are crap and you can't download any more and Net 10's ringtones are so-so at best.
I'm thinking of replacing it with the LG 600g. At least with that phone you can transfer files from your computer via Bluetooth and you can also download games with it.
Actually, this phone just came down in price. BestBuy sells this phone with travel accessories included for only 49.99 which is very good deal. Initially the phone in this review broke from water damage, but that was my fault. Overall, for a cheap camera phone with cheap minutes, you can't do much better than the Net10 W375. I still recommend this phone and apologize for the shotty review.
You're a bit confused. It does say 0.5 minutes deducted when you send and receive a text message. However, one minute is show as 1.0 minutes, and one minute only costs 0.10$ Soooo, a text message costing 0.5 minutes, aka 1/2 a minute, means its only costing you 0.05$ I was initially confused by it, but 0.50$ equals 5 minutes, so if it charged you 0.50$, it'd say 5.0 minutes deducted and not 0.5. Hope this helps :)
Update: I stopped using Net10 after the phone in this review easily broke, however, I am now switching back to Net10. Having tried other pay-as-you-go carriers, Net10 turns out to be the least expensive. However I'm buying a basic Net10 phone because other featured phones ultimately come up short. A basic Net10 phone costs 30$, but it completely worth it.
Just got one, here's my advice: don't get it. Pros: nice phone overall, but NET10 ruins it. Cons: can't use the USB port for photos/ringtones, you MUST buy ringtones only from NET10 (29 minutes of airtime for each one); photos must be emailed from the phone (10 minutes of airtime for one message); text messages longer than 70 characters are broken into two so it's twice as expensive; basically they're screwing us over with this phone. I'm going back to my old one and selling this one fast. :(
8-28-08: The phone in this review is now broken. I took this phone on vacation with me and got water on it by mistake. The phone does not work at all now.
I only had this phone for a month, I paid 80$ for it, and I didn't get 300 free minutes with it either.
I can't recommend this to anybody. Don't make the same mistake I did, buy a cheap pre-paid phone. That way if it breaks, you won't be kicking yourself.
Well the preloaded pictures take up almost half of the memory, so I was able to store about 12 pictures.
Unfortunately Net10 disabled the usb feature. So you have to send the pictures via a MMS (mobile media message) to your email address and download them from there. It ends up being very costly :(
