Lawl at original Brawl, get within 100 feet and a magic tractor beam latches onto you and pulls you to the ledge. Someone should make a video of how rediculous it was. And yeah there was a small sweet spot in melee, and i'm not sure if removing it was best, but i have to say i like this code. Anywhere you have it so i can put it on my SD card and try it?
I'm allowed to express my own opinion about the matter of discussion, am I not?
Or are you going to go on SWF and say to people that are talking about wether MetaKnight should be banned of not, that "Shut up, if you want him banned, don't comment about why he should be banned".
Your arguements make no sense. So yeah, up yours. 8)
Not really, his up does have an attack to it, that extends outwards from him so now he can attack people waiting on the ledge for him. Or like in melee have to aim for the ledge.
lolwut? there are still sweet spots u jsut cant automaticly grab the ledge as soon as u touch it. and besides its pretty damn anoying when ur triyng to make sure the other person cant recover when they can grab the ledge from 10 feet away :/
This code looks good for the most part...but why not put auto sweet spots in for some characters anyway? For example things like PK Thunder. Why make the recovery move harder to use then it already is? Plus I'm pretty sure they had auto sweetspots in Melee anyway.
Sweetspot in Melee was different than Brawl's current.
In Melee sweetspotting meant hitting the stage's edge perfectly so you didn't have to fall onto it to grab it. In Brawl it acts like any spot near the the edge is that one perfect spot, and so it makes your character "click" to the edge. One takes precision the other takes just jumping to the edge.
In terms of killing, yeah, but it also hurts his recovery. Seems like you'd pretty much have to avoid the ledge with up-b, which would put you on the stage for punishment anyway.
I would of called it "Magnets" cuz that what brawl did. lol

This coding is rather useless, as even Melee has a sweetspot on the ledges. It's just not as large as it is in Brawl.
I personally find it stupid, when the whole sweespot is removed. Making is smaller is ok, but removing it completely = fail.

It's the way it was in 64.
If you don't like it, don't play it.

Well...if you don't like something, you don't have to comment about how it's 'stupid'.
And I'm pretty sure I wasn't responding to anything you said.

Sorry, used my friends account by accident.
Yes, it's major failure. But I like it.

Oh, and btw...
Why I couldn't comment about it?

Wrong. In Melee, there was no automatic ledge-grabbing when you were rising. This code returns it to how it was in Melee.
BrutalBrutal01 2 years ago
I am most aware of it, but it still DID have a sweetspot. This code makes the game ERASE the sweetspot COMPLETELY. Only the SSB64 had this setting.

This hack is broken. There needs to be some sweet spotting, like Melee. This is overkill.

This got me thinking, Marth got the raw end of the deal on this.

Brawl+ was not helping bowser out that much but I think he benefits from this code alot.
