The coronal hole for this quake is there, if you want to learn the technique and go look.

I don't do logs for quakes between 45N and 45S, only the big ones, and Southern Hemi as time has permits.

Also, there are several periods where I gave it up altogether.

let me ask you. Do you think these recent activities will cause another like Haiti. I heard that hait was the catastrophic one and Solomon island was the mercy quake. I thought it was over.

The method I'm using is analysis of the cycle of movement as it's reflected in holes in the solar corona. I've mapped the latitude of these holes to Earth space within a margin of error depending on the season, and the method seems promising for near-exact matches eventually. And I suspect that an organization with more resources has figured the rest out... I could be wrong about this though... see my earthquake prediction playlist for more.

And just so you realize, Lasz. I was able to predict the rough location of the Samoan quake, and a few others. On that one I underestimated the magnitude rather than over estimated, but IMO my magnitudes more accurately represent the quake's destructive power. Best regards. -John
