@SAVHarsefeld: That is partly to do with the camera only being a compact and not having a good mic, and the fact that it is a 1978 British Seagull 2-stroke outboard - not the most refined motor, but 1/10 the cost of a new one and still reliable.
For anyone else wondering, I do not spend every weekend disturbing everyone on the canal. I was just testing the outboard and outrigger with a view to taking it in the sea.
