I want to agree with you but I feel like the director would have used clothing more indicative of the times if he was attempting to convey she was a western prostitute. He also might have established the woman as dancing with many different men earlier on if that were the case and she was in fact a prostitute. Interesting insight either way, though.

I don't agree skimmer. I think the narrative adds something and the acting is fine. I think the reason they decided to release the other was due to the violence.

I think the "acting" is just fine, and I do like the narrative up until the chair is picked up. I don't know why, but the chair and the guy hitting the floor sequence just doesn't come across well in the editing style used. It looks a bit corny, to me at least. I think it would have been great to use all up to that point and leave the rest a bit vague. I don't think its too violent, just a matter of taste. Someo
