  • Hi! can someone please write me down what doug say at BillHicks\nwo\conspiracy piece? .. i'm tryng hard to understand the whole thing. Thanks so much if u would help me!

  • They're similar in that they make sense, make you think and are funny like George Carlin or Mark Thomas.

It's not like we're watching the Denis Leary watered down tribute act rip off for fuck sake.

If you fan one comedian/ band/ breakfast cereal to the exclusion of all others you might want to check yourself for autism, pancakes on a tuesday, I'm an excellent driver etc Good luck with your shitty life.

  • i think this guy just talks about some1 else 1 because he might be jelaous of hicks,, and 2 probably because he dont really have anything else to say other than pick on a dead man that when he was alive really made a point! just like others did,, funny probably but not smart enough like carlin or bill,, ,,this guy just know comedy (maybe) but thats all

  • hicks is only hated by nascar fans toby keith worshipers

i could never say i hate hicks to an audience and not laugh

    rip hicks

you still live in our conciousness because we are all one

  • Bill Hicks, Doug Stanhope, Joe Rogan, Bill Burr.......rock n roll comics. Hicks was as much of a social commentator as he was master of the absurd. All of these guys are very sharp.

  • Something To Take the Edge off was the funniest thing I'd ever listened to in my life at the time I listened to it. I was turned on to Stanhope via a Bill Hicks myspace group around 2004-2005ish. I don't find them very similar at all.

  • Doug Stanhope is like Bill Hicks without hope, in my opinion.

  • @samaramasexpot perfect way of putting it, dougs like nirvana, and bills like the doors

  • @jjtheslayer69

    Well said sir.

  • Carlin

    Hicks

    Stanhope

    Rocks

  • I think Hicks was way smarter and had a much better mind, but Doug Stanhope is just funny as hell. Hicks was hysterical as well, but Hicks I believe was more of an acquired taste than Stanhope is. Hicks was angry, bitter, and way too smart for his own good. Stanhope has similar ideas, but he also is more outrageous and is slightly funnier, but in a less creative way. I love them both, and I also love that Stanhope is still alive, even though he thinks he's out of shit.

  • Ironic that Doug says he isn't like Hicks and then rolls out, what is essentially, a Hicks bit.....It's on sane man for anyone who doubts me...

  • comparing doug to bill is fucking ridiculous aswell. just because they both discuss moral topics, most of us are aware of how little doug requires bills influence and doesnt recycle his ideas. doug is a totally different person, and despite personally finding bill way more consistently funny, doug has changed me as much as bill

  • @elstroshitnonstop First of all, let me point out that I love Doug. Best living stand-up there is right now. However, he does overlap on Hicks in certain routines. You ever see Doug talking about 'what if Hendrix had NOT died, but instead lived and gone on to be a mediocre fuck doing superbowl halftime shows?'.....well, this is an exact copy of a Hicks bit from years ago about Elvis not dying and going on to mediocrity and 'touring with Steppenwolf'...same exact bit except for the names...

  • @eezysqueezy i have heard dougs bit, but not bills one i dont think. is that on a bootleg? i wonder if joe rogan would start attacking doug for stealing. I can only imagine it got stuck in dougs head subconsciously, it is quite a stupid thing to steal blatantly from the master of comic timing

  • @elstroshitnonstop Bill's bit about Elvis & Steppenwolf is on sane man. So it isn't hidden away or anything. I don't think Doug ripped him off - i think the subconscious thing would be about right. But there are overlaps like that...not neccerarily the material, but the issues he deals with and the style of delivery sometimes. I'm a big fan of both though, so that's cool. Doug is a long way off being some loathsome hack like Leary.

  • @eezysqueezy oh shit, i really need to revisit sane man, it must be the first thing of his i sat down and watched. fuck leary is all i have to say, may his conscience forever be burdened

  • @elstroshitnonstop Maybe Leary will realise what an unconscionable prick he's been some day after he's retired to counting his money from the million and one shitty side projects he only got to do thanks to stolen material in the first place....but probably not. Leary's continuing existence is the very epitome of Bill's bit about the good guys being murdered whilst hacks 'thrive and proliferate'.

    Peace.

  • @eezysqueezy I totally fucking agree. OMG! Leary is the butt of a Hicks joke and the funny part is that Bill doesn't care because it is just a ride. :) Nice observation, man.

  • i love bill, but everyone moaning about doug being stupid and shit and for dumb people, you can all shut the fuck up

  • Why all the hate on Doug? I don't compare him to Hicks- and I don't put one over the other. Doug is good for what he is, a pissed off comedian with strong opinions sometimes the same as Bill's. Bill was different, but still awesome, obviously.

  • Is that Luke Roduowski who walks past at 1:17?

  • @ozena52 Damn sure looked like it.

  • @ozena52 No it was Eric Harris.

  • hicks had hope deep in his heart he made you feel there's still a chance in life...doug is hilarious but is miserable and full of hopelessness and makes everything in life not worth...hicks givs a fuck about the human race and wants change..doug doesnt give a fuck and wants this failing species to just die for fuck's sake

  • @247Rebel Agreed. I still like Doug though. The alcohol makes him uncredible.

  • @247Rebel

    decay is implicit

  • @247Rebel You might want to listen to his new album, completely honest and full of hope.. I don't remember the name of the Album but it came out last month and he recorded it at Oslo/Norway in some rundown factory....

  • @247Rebel 100%. Doug is smarter than he makes out but hes a deeply depressant loner. Which makes him very funny to laugh at

  • @247Rebel Hence the difference between the 90's and the 21st centrury.

  • @247Rebel So did carlin, whats your point? shutup

  • @ryanbeatbox no My point is your mom is probably getting fucked by some retarded old hobo he's probably going to kill her but who gives a shit

  • @247Rebel thats just messed up

  • @247Rebel

Don't be confusing the art with the artist, flapjack. And read the Kevin Booth book.

  • @247Rebel Even George Carlin didn't give a fuck about the human race like Doug and was very outspoken about it. Just saying...

  • I don't really consider that a heckler. When I think of a heckler I think of some drunk nasty cunt who won't shut up. This guy seemed alright.

  • hicks is better, doug is like hicks for dumb people though so i can meet half way

  • i fucking love bill hicks..but i also love stanhope..but i like hicks > stanhope

  • You can count how many times you've actually laughed out loud to a Bill Hick's joke on 1 hand.

  • @Weakandlame Technically multiplicity is an illusion of human perspective, so it's moot anyhow.

  • Hicks and Stanhope have very different styles and ways of delivery. They're comedians in their own right and I rate them both in the same way I also rate Carlin. They're fantastic and all have their own fingerprint.

  • everybody loves hicks.

  • No matter how stupid or wrong a comment is, I don't think I've ever even once "thumbs downed" a comment or flagged it as spam, like some people seem so fond of. I just don't have that hive mentality. Thumbs-down this comment, you stupid dirty nigger jew kike honkey wop moolie faggots.

  • @mryuck206 What does 'moolie' mean?

  • @MissJonesBaker It's the Italian word for nigger. But nobody knows what it means, so I use it liberally.

  • Knock of the Hicks comparisons! Seriously! It's tediously, geeky and fucking boring! I, just like a shit load of other people , am a HHHHHHHHUGE Hicks fan. Just like yourselves I have everything by the guy thats been written down or recorded. But for fucks sake chill the fuck out! Be happy there is at least someone out there who is intelligent and funny enough to make you feel thank fuck! Thank fuck this guy can rant his ass off about shit I care about and make it funny. Rock on Stanhope!

  • Stanhope tries too hard to be Bill Hicks.

  • @AttackMyAss No he doesn't, asshole. They have completely different deliveries. Stanhope is more miserable.

  • At the time when the Bill was performing, the public couldn't appreciate his radical and correct ideas. He was that much ahead of time, even ahead of Carlin, and people weren't ready for it. Doug, who's performing later, gets more response from the viewers who have lately started to change attitudes toward and demands from a comic. All of them are highly enlightening and funny. The difference Bill and Doug have is the recognition from the audience and the public, because of the time difference.

  • Who gives a fuck? I've laughed my balls off to both of them.. Hicks may have been a bit more on the spiritual side, that's all.

  • What's the deal with the couple sitting behind him?

  • Hicks can't be funnier than Stanhope. Hicks is dead.

  • this guy is nowhere near as good as hicks he sucks

  • I humbly recommend that people stop waving their dicks around about who is copying who or who is better than who. It's a waste of time and effort, but, well, if you want to do it, go ahead.Point is, it's like writing a new song.Good luck using the notes of the chromatic, (or blues), scale, and non-bizarre tempos.Someone, somewhere, is going to say you sound like so-and-so.There are claims that Newton and Leibniz discovered Calculus independently. Many people discover the same things, independently

  • stanhope is great. "i would be against it but if they called and said "hey we like your ideas"" hahaha totally me.

  • It's hard for comedians to talk about current affairs/the news/politics/war etc in the post bill hicks world without sounding like they're copying him.

  • @HuxleyWasRight Sadly because the world hasn't changed that much. Bill's material sounded particularly contemporary during Bush Jr's administration.

  • i like joe rogan better haha

  • haha Luke Rudkowski of wearechange walks out when he says he'd join the NWO

  • After watching this last super bowl I feel that Slash from guns and roses didn't die soon enough....seriously a guitar solo with fuckin fergie and the black eyed peas....OD already jesus.

  • Doug Stanhope is the closest a mind or 'comedian' will even get to the Hicks' stream of consiousness.

  • I like that after being ripped on for sounding like Hicks he does a whole bit that sounds just like Hicks' rip on Elvis and 80s pop-stars in Sane Man.

Not taking either side here, there are a lot of issues in comedy where it's hard to speak your mind on them without mining some territory that's been done before. Unless it sounds like a verbatim rip (a la Leary) it's probably just two guys who share a similar view on an issue and laugh at the same things.

  • @ackajacka yep, "nothing new under the sun"

  • Why do people get so concerned about "who's better than who"

    Fuck off and laugh, assholes!

  • The thing is Bill's audience was really small for most of his career. If Doug died today and Coldplay (ugh) promoted the hell out of him he'd be huge. Bill had the support of bands like Tool, Radiohead, RATM, and many more. Plus, dying always boosts albums sales.

I love both, but Doug really is fighting a bigger up hill battle than Bill Hicks ever did. "This generation sucks." Too true...

  • This blokes an overrated piece of shit, please, nobody compare this tosser to Bill Hicks.

  • @MUFC127 Exactly. Bill Hicks was in a league of his own. A spiritual deep thinker and social critic and contrary to what many believe he was far from being an "asshole." He was a humanist who cherished the good in this world and openly spoke out about the bad with extreme bitterness.

Bill Hicks and George Carlin will forever be remembered. Doug Stanhope will soon be forgotten.

  • @petestrat07 Too bad for you that you're missing the boat here, man. Doug is just as funny as Hicks and Carlin (and yes, I own every recorded work both of them ever released, including plenty of bootlegs), but Doug didn't do it first like they did. That doesn't mean his legacy won't carry weight. It will. Either open your mind and dig on his stuff or just move on if it's not for you.

  • @esroberto1 - Hey man, apart from the fact you told me that "I missed the boat" your comment was a fair. But then I read the comment above stating that Bill harbord a true hatred for the human race. You are the one that has missed the boat. Bill loved the human race and he harbord a true hatred for what was bad about it because he knew it didn't have to be that way.if only people would wake up to themselves and evolve ideas this world would be such a better place.

  • @petestrat07

How can you even begin to debate about Hick's personal perspective on life. Did you know him? Did you read his mind when he was alive? The only knowledge you have of him is from his routines, which were pretty diverse. In some he advocated ridding the world of weaponry and using the money to feed everyone, and in others he simply verbally tore things to shreds.

  • @TheOtium - Well Hicks is the only person in this world that I can relate to 100% and I'm so glad that I discovered him. I've seen and listened to every one of his recorded performances many times so I can honestly say that I know what point he was trying to make and I can understand his frustrations. Hicks made "his personal perspective on life" very clear. If you have seen enough perfomances (bootleg in particular), interviews and documentaries you would understand his perspective on life too.

  • @petestrat07

Why do you say that Stanhope will be forgotten? He's one of the few famous comedians that actually implement critical thought and intellectuality into their acts. Hicks and Carlin, especially Carlin, will forever be remembered because they're dead. They have "legendary" status. Stanhope is middle aged, and he's going to be rocking for a while. Somehow I think he'll be remembered as influential in stand up.

  • @TheOtium Thanks for not filling your comment with venom when arguing my point. I suppose Doug Stanhope will be remembered in some way however it's unlikely anybody will come close to matching Hicks or Carlin. Like Stanhope said in that video, "Hicks was smart" and so was Carlin. I just can't relate to Stanhope in the same way I do Carlin and Hicks.

  • @petestrat07

    Well said.

You read the Booth book? It's magic.

  • @bollockowithalob I haven't read it, bollock but I'll buy it if its still availabale. Cant wait to read it. Cheers.

  • @MUFC127 stfu limey poof

  • What is that a vip section behind Doug? Crazy club

  • @Zyy920

I'm not sure, but I'm wondering if it's something to do with getting round the smoking ban, i.e. you can smoke on stage as it's part of "the act".

  • @Zyy920 I'm guessing that Doug was kind enough to let anyone who wanted to smoke come on stage and sit behind him as an impromptu 'part of the act'. Doug has said a number of times that he gets to smoke onstage because the no smoking laws consider the cigarette a 'prop' that's a part of the act. I don't know that this is the case or anything, but as a huge fan of Doug's, I do think there's a chance he'd consider it a fun 'fuck you' to the laws, letting audience members up there for a smoke.

  • You'd think a guy who specifically thanks Freemasons at the end of his No Refunds standup routine would be aware of what Pike said about the existence of the illuminati.

  • It's quite simple, most people who love Hicks also love Stanhope, that's why their names are connected so often. There is however a minority who behave like the sycophantic groupie whores they are any time somebody dares to mention their Bill - because he's theirs right, not ours, theirs - in the same sentence as Doug.

Fuckin groupies, they need to have some self-respect and take their tongues out of a dead man's ass.

  • @MFCutlass that is without doubt the most sensible thing I have ever read on the internet.

  • @MFCutlass Extremely well said.

  • @MFCutlass nobodys doing that, your retarted lmao, im pretty sure comedians in general dont have groupies

just people who like to listen to them when thyer pissed, how do you have the topped liked comment ??this is retarted

  • @jjtheslayer69

    It's spelled 'retarded', funnily enough.

  • @MFCutlass shut up i dont spell retarted enough to know how its spelled

  • @MFCutlass Agreed... Doug and Bill are my two favorites, but some people tend to idolize Bill. Understandable, but not cool.

  • Blah, blah, blah---all this video did was make me want to watch Bill Hicks. Thanks for the prompt--I'll thoroughly enjoy it. Ahhh, actual talent and relevance...the good ol' days!

  • Anyone know what year this is from?

    Thanks for sharing.

  • Their message is somewhat the same; everything else: DIFFERENT

  • And that's why Doug is great. And so was Bill, just in completely different ways. The people determined to compare them are usually the same ones who'll call anyone an artist as long as there's someone to argue the point so they can feel intelligent for five minutes.

  • Is he in a club or his moms basement.

  • Bill Hicks was the best. Stanhope is good too, but you don't get much better Hicks.

  • Nice little shot at chris rock there haha

  • @purplenurps I think it was more of a shot a Ray Romano.

  • The thing that i love about these both comedians is that they are not giving a flying fuck about how people/society/clubs are going to respond to their act, if theyre offended thats their problem.

  • @CrossCreed4800 YOU fxckin' suck, and your generic pseudonym-followed-by-a-number-net-nitwit username is "living" proof, and furthermore, if you knew ANYTHING about comedy you'd know Doug fully agrees with you, therefore proving his point and making you look like more of a fxckin' nimrod. G'night.

  • looks like some of the people here doesn't know who Doug is.... he is the closest you can get to Bill right now. i wonder if he died suddenly...... people might be screaming how great he was. before you post your stupid comments do your research.

  • @narentheone1 Amen. Though I know how pissed Stanhope gets at all the comparisons, I don't fully understand how any of you fxck-tards can call this guy a "douchebag hoggin the mic at open mic night"... I guess we missed YOUR big album debut, geniuses...

  • @narentheone1 I LIKE YOUR STYLE...

  • Comment removed

  • @2ndSTARMAN Umm, like, YOU suck! Saying Doug sucks is like saying Primus sucks. He'll tell you he sucks. It's up to you if you like it or not. You din't like it. Move on. Comment=FAIL. Sorry man.

Well, obviously since I didn;t even see it till now cause, you've been thumbed down so many times.

    Comedy breaking up with 2ndSTARMAN:

    Comedy: "It's me, It's not you." "You're perfect! 2nd2none!"

  • I've watched every Hicks audio/video clip I could find.... Nobody can touch Hicks. Nobody. I saw a documentary of his, and Leno was in it.. Which pissed me off, because we all know Bil Hicks hates Leno. Type 'Bill Hicks rips Leno' in the Youtube search bar.... Good shit.

I also think Doug would sell out to the NWO in a heartbeat.

  • @Mr00Trouble I like Hicks, but I can't see how anyone would think he's better than Carlin, Pryor or Bruce . . . hell, if there never was a Bruce, there'd never be a Hicks.

  • @colonelboston thats dumb to say because then i would say with no zeppelin beatles sabbath and later coming metallica there will be nothing that it is today which is true but its not an argument is how shit works influence related.

  • Comment removed

  • Bill Hicks had more talent in 1 pubic hair than this fuck has in his entire existance.

  • @ericstevens555 Why dont you like doug? Doug isn't comparing himself to him

  • Preachy unfunny comics flock together. Who knew?

  • How the hell can this guy makes jokes about hicks and hendrix, hicks and hendrix have done 100x more than this guy will ever do, i think their might be little jealousy right here

  • Great video! Why are people sat on the stage?

  • Stanhope is fucking brilliant, a genius and above all a nice guy.

  • I love that he let his audience on stage to smoke to get around the "No smoking in buildings unless on stage, during performance" law. Brilliant sir!

  • Bill Hicks took a long time to get to no point.

  • The Thing that made Bill Hicks head and heels above the rest of the comics was this, he spouted harsh liberal and pure ideas in a heavily republican conservative market. He was honest, bold and hilarious. Lenny Bruce pushed the envelope for acquired taste and censorship, Carlin continued that with great delivery. Hicks stomped all over dumbass american audiences. Stanhope is only following in their footsteps, He's great. But it's all been done.

  • @MatejaBrevic you just said some dumb shit. like either one of those guys would (have chosen) choose to hang out with a lame-ass like yourself

  • Like the way he talks about hicks then works an old hicks joke in with his own twist. Bill said about Elvis still being alive touring giving away wagon wheels instead of being dead.

  • @PBK0909 Well if Hicks had that much of a problem of the first Bush, I just don't know if he could stay sane after seeing W Bush become president. It really doesn't matter; you can listen to Hicks' old stuff and it applies to today just as much as it ever did. It's up to the rest of us to notice the bullshit and do something, or take the bullshit and continue to be fucked.

  • Dont talk shit on Hicks man! Ughhh

  • for some great bill hicks stories told by ron shock, type in "the bill hicks chronicles" here on you tube.

  • Thats great; he hits the nail on the head on the difference between Hicks and himself. Hicks had a message, sober, deliberate and intelligent.

  • luke rodowski of 9/11 truth walks out or around at 1:19. Anyone else catch that? But Stanhope is pretty fucking funny.

  • @devilbritson good catch I wonder if Alex Jones was near

  • @devilbritson good spotting pal! i wouldnt have noticed. he bails right after the new world order bit. heh maybe stanhope doesn't want to die so young after all.

  • @devilbritson Yes! i noticed.. :]

    we are change.org

the new world order is, very real Doug!

  • @devilbritson luke rudkowski is a fuckingg homo why should we care about him??????

  • The difference between Bill Hicks and this guy...this guy fucking sucks.

  • I agree with the soul of what Stanhope is saying here, I thought about it plenty of times, but I know Bill Hicks would never sell out, man. He might have slipped into alcohol and died like Lenny, but he never would've sold out, believe me. That went against everything he believed in. I totally agree with Stanhope here, though.

  • "Hey, we like your ideas, and we need one more guy." LOL!!!

  • What's up with the people on stage behind him? Is it some loophole where people who are willing to buy Doug a drink get to climb on stage and smoke?

  • to be honest it seems to me that anyone who picks flaws in the government or supports drug use and REAL FREE WILL gets compared to Hicks and Carlin when they were the pioneers. the reality is it's hard to do this genre of comedy without talking about the same things.

  • i fucking love stanhope. he is so flippant, unlike hicks or carlin who frankly got dull going on and on and on about their views.

  • his joke about hendrix doing halftime shows with elton john... bill had essentially the same material about elvis being alive and doing shitty tours.

seems that nobody can escape bill's shadow eh

  • Comment removed

  • I've never wanted to see a comic live, since seeing Bill Hicks back in 1992, but this guy is someone special, too. Look forward to seeing Doug in London soon.

  • stanhope claims that he would sell out to the illuminati! thats great!

  • Fantastic. Stanhope handled that really well, I think. He's hilarious. Hicks was hilarious. Their approach to comedy was and is different.

  • @DrFlaxWebFLOO not much of a heckle but interactive comedy is what it seems to me

  • The reason why these two are drawn together is because they are form the same style where as the new rockstars are comedians. No, they don't have the same style or the same way of spitting their poetry but they are in the same ballpark of being non mainstream.

Look at it this way, both are funny with their styles of giving the truth.

Hicks is great but he couldn't handle his booze. Stanhope is great and could drink Hicks under the table like an Irishmen at last call.

  • Doug Stanhope and Bill Hicks are two different people with different attitudes and outlooks on life. I'm confused how this is a debate.

  • @TonyBtheEG Thats true they are different, but as far as comedians go they have a similar sense of humor=honest, dark, brutal, and hilarious.

  • @iscream22 And I think it's fucking wonderful. We need more people telling people about their experiences and how they feel about society instead of these cookie-cutter comedians who try way too fucking hard to make a fucking punchline. A comedian who only does his "art" to make money isn't an artist.

  • @TonyBtheEG its not

  • Comes across really cool. Love the "everybody loves hicks" jibe.

  • why do some people think they are right about issues , the people who believe in god and governrnent are just as right or wrong as the people who dont believe in god or government ...

  • not funny

  • hicks was awesome and i think the belief of the illuminati, masons, CFR, tri lateral...all that shit isnt something to sneeze at.

the conspiracies regarding JFK's assassination, now 911 is questionable...

no one knows whats real so dont laugh at a deep dark complicated theory you do not even understand or want to believe because the media has nullified you with their Fear and illusion of protection they give to you by raping you of your liberties slowly and painfully

  • Hicks was an asshole, by his own admission/definition. He was also smart, and he was also right. The comparison between these two guys has never been rooted in their styles of delivery, just in the art of putting across dark truths in a way that lets us laugh about them.

  • @esroberto1 When did Bill Hicks say he was an asshole.

  • @esroberto1 nice put man.

  • @esroberto1 how exactly was hicks an asshole?

  • @gibbsies Check out "Bill Hicks Hates Hecklers" for a demonstration. Bill said a number of times he knew he was an asshole. He was a very dark dude. Most comedians seem to be. Across the board, most of them seem to harbor a true hatred of the human race, often including themselves. I don't blame them.

  • @esroberto1 I've seen that whole show. The crowd were assholes to him so he was one back. I've never once heard him say that he's an asshole, his stage persona may have appeared to be but in interviews and backstage videos and home videos he was a super nice nice guy who had a genuine belief in almost everyone he met, unless those people happened to be assholes, like virtually the entire crowd in that show. Also, he didnt hate humanity, he hated the state of human society, not humans themselves.

  • @esroberto1 i don't think that these men are simply trying to make us laugh, i think they want to pass a message to people, hicks did so and carlin and stanhope is doin it too.. u can just notice how emotionally they rant about almost everything. the heckler at this show was really a douch though.. tryin to play clever with the perfomer.. i mean alright u know bill hicks staff now shut you fuckin shithole.. doesn't make u better that the rest in this place..

  • he lets ppl go on stage and shot with him??? ah so kool

  • It appears that the club they're in don't allow people to smoke inside, so under the loophole of being able to smoke on a stage for theater purposes, he's letting people smoke inside with him -- 'cause he can.

I don't see any other reason for them to be up there. Doug's a cool guy.

  • I love this small club feel, he is so approachable and doesn't seem to put himself down too much, and doesn't seem to do that to others. I like that I have not seen him have conflicts with the audiences, at least not what I have seen so far.

  • Hey Two, you're right, he's totally approachable. Went for a beer with him after his London show a year or two back. I'd say that amongst comedians (certainly here in the UK), he's one of the most admired comics in the world right now.

  • @TwoMillionVertFeet look up "Don't boo a girl." That's conflict, rofl.

  • You of course no nothing about hicks or doug , politics aren't in their motivation and Bill was someone who Doug idolized because of his lack of limitations . I hate critics that don't know what they critiquing . I hope you don't have a blog , you are not good at publishing an opinion . Sorry if I am so specific as to single you out but you are a dumb cunt .

  • And you know because you obviously know them personally and are so good at determining their personality flaws. Well, Mr. Bill-worshipper, as Bill would've said: Mooo-Baahh! Keep being a follower you twat. And just so you know I don't have a blog, I perform stand up as well, but I don't try to be like Bill or Doug, I look up to them but not imitate them. I don't idolize either of them, I actually don't idolize anyone but myself... you think those two idolize(d) other people, eh Sigmund Freud?

  • @Huey600 Actually, I think you're wrong, Huey. Bill Hicks was HATED 80% of the places he went, because he voiced an unpopular opinion. He didn't give a shit though. His popularity came around the time of his death, and steadily grew afterwords.

  • @DrFlaxWebFLOO What is it about embracing people after they die? Is it simply because they become more popular? Or maybe in Hicks' case, he threatened people with his abrasive style and then after he died they could finally accept him.

  • @kevhead66 Because it becomes hip, I suppose. I mean, Michael Jackson was a social pariah until he croaked; then he was the King of Pop. No one gave a shit about Corey Haim. Now he's a "tragic ex-child star". I don't know. The American public are necrophiliacs. We love the dead. Fuck the living, though.

  • @DrFlaxWebFLOO

necrophilia is not about fucking the living though.

  • @fatjohn1408 No, I meant we don't give a shit about the living. We're in love with our dead 'icons'.
