I was just going to make the bars and realized I forgot to buy the caramels...and wonder could I in their place use Smuckers caramel sauce in the jar for on ice cream? If not then I guess I need to get to the store first thing in the morning....LOL

Couldn't you just melt the caramels in the microwave

instead of the caramel squares...would smuckers caramel sundae syrup work?

@aries16xox i'm not sure. i don't think it would solidify the way the caramels do...it would probably just run out when you cut the squares. it would probably taste good though!
