@peterredlodge - Hi, and thanks for listening. Your Petosa is a wonderful accordion and I like the warm tones the reeds produce and also the style in which you play.
ok...just putting this out there.. I don't listen to a lot of accordian (sp) videos but I have to say that, well, I agree with sabaline...this was just so MOVING.. I gained a real & new appreciation for the instrument and how absolutely beautiful it can be...Thank you for exposing me to a new way to look at this type of music..5*
@guitarrx3girl Thanks a million for listening and for your wonderful comment. I am so happy when a "non accordionist" not only takes the time to listen, but also takes the time to comment, as I do understand and appreciate the limits of acceptance of the accordion to those who do not play.
You, and your sister, are remarkable musicians, so for me, it is an honour to receive a comment like this.
Hello. I am so touched that guitarrx3girl has sent you this video. I can't believe she did this and it make me so happy that she wanted to share with you.
I have to join the others by describing this performance just with a word... moving. Frankly, I admire your courage to open yourself in such way. But great that you did! :)
In some comment you mention being nervous while recording. Why? At your level of mastery, you should just feel happy and relaxed to share with us your beautiful sense of music. Music is a language that can convey very different message than words, and those who speak this language do understand well, what you are saying.
@sabaline: I am deeply touched by your lovely words Teresa. I happily and gratefully accept your praise, but am embarrassed at the same time - no one has ever said such nice things. I think you must be a special person as you can see and understand the emotions that I try and put into my music.
I think Nanna Muskouri would have sounded wonderful with you as her accompanying musician. I love this song Mike. Wonderful. I had to check it out again. Hey do a search for AnnieGong1 she is my new flame. And she has an accordion just like yours. Not only that she and you could be a wonderful team as you bring out the sounds here in the Accordion. xx209983789 by Roland.
Wow Mike, great demo of this "electric organ". How do you control the loudness? It's even got saxaphone clarinet sounds. Do you use it with MIDI? I wonder if the keyboard has aftertouch, it looks like it is pressure sensitive.
The differences in volume are all controlled by the bellows, as in a normal accordion, except that as there are no reeds, the bellows are pressure sensitive. It CAN be used with a MIDI arranger, although there are so many different voices I can use and adjust to my liking that MIDI would only be used for drum patterns. The keyboard does have aftertouch, more pronounced if I used piano or guitar voices.
Well, this is the best compliment I could ever have, thnks so very much. IOt is an emotional song and you must be a special person for it to touch you like it did.
Thanks very much. (Hopefully going to collect my audio wire tomorrow (Sat). Went last week but the music store had to order a guitar lead as they were out of stock - that's Ireland for you!)
Mike, I always find it a JOY when I see that you have posted a new video. This one is very beautiful. I had not heard it before. Many stars. ******** Each of productions are smooth and soothing, different from the sometimes frantic life here on the farm with the animals. It's refreshing indeed.

(ps - my next offering is SO soothing, I fell asleep whilst playing it!! Luckily the camera man didn't notice, he was asleep as well! Either that or just plain innebriated).
Ravishing tones and your own inimitable style, Mike! Somewhat reminiscent of the Audrey Hepburn film classic "Moon River," but this is even more evocative with the full symphonic treatment. A symphony can encase a lifetime, and so it is marvelously and elegantly represented here. **********
Well! I found your song interpretation so smooth and relaxing... It's so nice to see you taking advantage of the many voice selections of the Roland. That, and your interpretation, makes the song very special. Great job, as I have come to expect from you. Oh, and did I see a smile or two while you were playing?
