The Flash was not on Smallville they called the guy Impulse and insteads of Steel they had Cyborg. Even though Cyborg and Impulse were in Titans and Flash and Steel in Justice League.
For the record, don't really care what version of "The Flash" it is, or what he's called on the show, if it's the character I know supposed to b equivalent, I'll love him, always love every good version of that character. As for Bart being younger than Clark, well he does seem younger to me, tho not as much as in the comics, but this is not the comics, just influenced/inspired by them & has similar characters, but there's going to b differences too, would b boring if was exactly like the comics!

@Imposonator3212 actually he was in three episodes. "Run", "Justice", and "Doomsday". And yes they are becoming the league of justice but right now are having some trouble with teamwork and such so they arent exactly as close as the justice league in the comics. Eventually, though, i think that they are going to reach that level before season 10 is done. i think that they should end the series with all the superheros fighting darkseid and his minions in the final episode.

@HPMatthew Actually, the 1st Flash was Jay Garrick, then Barry Allen, then Wally West, who started out as Kid Flash & became the Flash, & finally Bart, who was Impulse, Kid Flash 2 & the 4th Flash. Bart's the only 1 ever called "Impulse", as he's impulsive, due to sheltered childhood. However, Jay, Barry, Wally & Bart have all had the title of "The Flash" at some point. It's logical to think that, similarly to the way "The Blur" becomes "Superman", "Impulse" would also become "The Flash".

@JeffreyMLicano11 I think that clark just has super reflexes, and the scene is slowed down so much that it looks like regular motion. Like those videos of the guy reloading his gun really fast when its slowed down it looks normal but the background is slow when it all takes place within a second.

So it'd work like this, time slows down for him, his mind works at the same rate (so he'd still be at super speed right now) but his body functions and moves at superspeed (so it's like double the super speed) and it doesn't seem like he's running for years.

Clark can't stop time. Thats the world is like to him when he's moving at super speed. But Bart is so much faster, that to him Clark appears to be moving in slow motion, while to Clark, he himself is moving at normal speed in a "frozen" world, while Bart is still moving at super speed. Bart isn't the fastest of the Flashes, but with both at maximum speed, he's still several times faster than Superman.

@apollonas101 Superman cannot move outside of time. That was the pre-Crisis Superman, who was essentially god. Those stories are no longer in continuity. Both the modern Superman and the Earth-2 Kal-L have been confirmed on numerous occasions to be not as fast as any of the Flashes.
In the Pre-Crisis comics, Superman could do anything, and was essentially god. After Crisis on Infinite Earths, his powers were changed to be more realistic. He's still incredibly fast, but his top speed doesn't come anywhere near any of the Flashes'.

Yes. Crisis on Infinite Earths was published in 1985 or 1986 (pretty sure it was 85). Before that, Superman's powers were literally infinite. There's even a comic where he goes to a star, blows on it like a human would blow on a candle, and extinguishes the star.

Depends on which Reverse Flash. The Silver Age version, Professor Zoom, was exactly even with Barry Allen. The Modern version, Zoom, doesn't have superspeed, he has the ability to alter time as it relates to himself, giving him the illusion of superspeed. Using this ability, he can "move" faster than Wally West, who is the fastest of all the Flashes. And other than being red, no, I don't think The Flash looks like Daredevil.

While, unlike Wally or Bart, Clark's foot speed has limits, while flying he's at least 3 times faster. If he HAD been flying, he might have had a chance to catch Bart.....maybe.
He's not. Bart is the third fastest. He's faster than Jay, but not as fast as Barry or Wally. Bart may one day be the greatest Flash, after learning from all three of the ones who came before him, but in terms of raw speed, Wally is superior.

I read DC comics, that's where I get my information from. The comics where Superman can travel backwards in time by moving faster than the speed of light are all long out of continuity. Superman is not as fast as The Flash.
@russel4141 Superman isn't faster when he's flying, but he doesn't tire out as easily as when he's running. Superman can fly for extremely long periods of time without requiring rest, whereas running he will tire out fairly quickly (compared to the Flash. To a normal human, Superman's endurance would still be unbeatable). But, whether flying or running, Superman is not in any of the Flashes' leagues. Jay, Barry, Wally, Bart, probably even Jesse Quick and Max Mercury, can all beat him easily.

Superman can travel around the world about 7 times in a second. Wally West can travel around the world 500 times in an attosecond. An attosecond is to one second what one second is to twice the age of the universe. All the other Flashes, while not as fast as Wally, can react and move in periods of time so short, Superman could not detect their movements unless they want him to.

However I read in one (I don't think it was The Flash, another one) that Wally admitted he wasn't the fastest, he admitted the original one-Jay-was faster then him, he said that Jay was the fastest and he he couldn't compare, even to Barry. Maybe they never had a chance or reason to go to their limit.
@Karralmer That was during the "Return of Barry Allen" storyline, when Wally was limited to several times the speed of sound. At the end of that storyline Wally got his full speed back and is once again the true Fastest Man Alive. He is many, many times faster than Barry or Jay. The current comics have made this clear on many occasions.

Clark wore the blue jacket quite often. Not as often as the red, but watch the earlier Seasons and you'll see it all the time. They always keep him in the blue whenever Bart was around so it was more like the Superman vs.Flash races in the comics, a blue streak and a red streak.
As far as speed, yes flash is faster of course. Wouldn't make sense for that to essentially be his only power and not be the best at it. But superman's flight speed is the fastest any being can ever achieve. So that's why i roll with Superman, my friends. Btw smallville is sweet. Especially when the flash is in it.

@Imposonator3212 actually he was in three episodes. "Run", "Justice", and "Doomsday". And yes they are becoming the league of justice but right now are having some trouble with teamwork and such so they arent exactly as close as the justice league in the comics. Eventually, though, i think that they are going to reach that level before season 10 is done. i think that they should end the series with all the superheros fighting darkseid and his minions in the final episode.

@HPMatthew Actually, the 1st Flash was Jay Garrick, then Barry Allen, then Wally West, who started out as Kid Flash & became the Flash, & finally Bart, who was Impulse, Kid Flash 2 & the 4th Flash. Bart's the only 1 ever called "Impulse", as he's impulsive, due to sheltered childhood. However, Jay, Barry, Wally & Bart have all had the title of "The Flash" at some point. It's logical to think that, similarly to the way "The Blur" becomes "Superman", "Impulse" would also become "The Flash".

it all depends on the versions- Clark had the speed record for a while(DC Presents#29) , but with things like Rebirth...well.... ha-ha-ha
the rivalry will never end, but they need to amp clark some more to brign it back- Clark's best RECENT feat was that multi light year crossing speed feat to vega- but Flash currently (lol, depends on which one)..still is beyind him, but not by a whole lot- then there's the issue with (comic, not TV)Bart

@JeffreyMLicano11 I think that clark just has super reflexes, and the scene is slowed down so much that it looks like regular motion. Like those videos of the guy reloading his gun really fast when its slowed down it looks normal but the background is slow when it all takes place within a second.

@JeffreyMLicano11 Yea that's what I was saying. Unless his powers actually kept his mind working at the same rate and it just sped up his body. So it'd work like this, time slows down for him, his mind works at the same rate (so he'd still be at super speed right now) but his body functions and moves at superspeed (so it's like double the super speed) and it doesn't seem like he's running for years.

Everybody know Supes cant handle the Flash!Its common knowledge that the Flash is the fastest comic book hero period! Clark can't stop time. Thats the world is like to him when he's moving at super speed. But Bart is so much faster, that to him Clark appears to be moving in slow motion, while to Clark, he himself is moving at normal speed in a "frozen" world, while Bart is still moving at super speed. Bart isn't the fastest of the Flashes, but with both at maximum speed, he's still several times faster than Superman.

@apollonas101 Superman cannot move outside of time. That was the pre-Crisis Superman, who was essentially god. Those stories are no longer in continuity. Both the modern Superman and the Earth-2 Kal-L have been confirmed on numerous occasions to be not as fast as any of the Flashes.

In the Pre-Crisis comics, Superman could do anything, and was essentially god. After Crisis on Infinite Earths, his powers were changed to be more realistic. He's still incredibly fast, but his top speed doesn't come anywhere near any of the Flashes'.

Yes. Crisis on Infinite Earths was published in 1985 or 1986 (pretty sure it was 85). Before that, Superman's powers were literally infinite. There's even a comic where he goes to a star, blows on it like a human would blow on a candle, and extinguishes the star.

Depends on which Reverse Flash. The Silver Age version, Professor Zoom, was exactly even with Barry Allen. The Modern version, Zoom, doesn't have superspeed, he has the ability to alter time as it relates to himself, giving him the illusion of superspeed. Using this ability, he can "move" faster than Wally West, who is the fastest of all the Flashes. And other than being red, no, I don't think The Flash looks like Daredevil.

@BigEvil6686 This is a fair assessment. They did a good job of portraying the speed difference here, but one needs to keep in mind that clark still hasn;t reached his full power. While, unlike Wally or Bart, Clark's foot speed has limits, while flying he's at least 3 times faster. If he HAD been flying, he might have had a chance to catch Bart.....maybe.

He's not. Bart is the third fastest. He's faster than Jay, but not as fast as Barry or Wally. Bart may one day be the greatest Flash, after learning from all three of the ones who came before him, but in terms of raw speed, Wally is superior.

@russel4141 Superman isn't faster when he's flying, but he doesn't tire out as easily as when he's running. Superman can fly for extremely long periods of time without requiring rest, whereas running he will tire out fairly quickly (compared to the Flash. To a normal human, Superman's endurance would still be unbeatable). But, whether flying or running, Superman is not in any of the Flashes' leagues. Jay, Barry, Wally, Bart, probably even Jesse Quick and Max Mercury, can all beat him easily.

superman and flash have raced(modern age)and they were both going maximum speed and they were tired as hell.flash won by inches.but i admit flash is faster than superman.flash and superman are my favorite superheroes.plus flash can phase through walls and superman cant etc.he can just plow through them.and in allstar superman im pretty sure superman will give flash a challenge in speed.

Superman can travel around the world about 7 times in a second. Wally West can travel around the world 500 times in an attosecond. An attosecond is to one second what one second is to twice the age of the universe. All the other Flashes, while not as fast as Wally, can react and move in periods of time so short, Superman could not detect their movements unless they want him to.

@BigEvil6686 I used to read the Flash comics and while I have most Wally West, I got into the Flash by the movie-Which was Barry Allen. However I read in one (I don't think it was The Flash, another one) that Wally admitted he wasn't the fastest, he admitted the original one-Jay-was faster then him, he said that Jay was the fastest and he he couldn't compare, even to Barry. Maybe they never had a chance or reason to go to their limit.

@Karralmer That was during the "Return of Barry Allen" storyline, when Wally was limited to several times the speed of sound. At the end of that storyline Wally got his full speed back and is once again the true Fastest Man Alive. He is many, many times faster than Barry or Jay. The current comics have made this clear on many occasions.

@ras2610 There's four primary Flashes. Jay Garrick, Barry Allen, Wally West, and Bart Allen (currently Kid Flash). Jesse Quick was also briefly The Flash for a time. Several of the Pre-Crisis Earths had their own Flashes, such as Tanaka Rei from Earth-D, and Johnny Quick, the evil version of Flash from Earth-3. There's also an alternate version of Wally named Walter West from another dimension, and John Fox, a Flash from the distant future. Among others.

Clark wore the blue jacket quite often. Not as often as the red, but watch the earlier Seasons and you'll see it all the time. They always keep him in the blue whenever Bart was around so it was more like the Superman vs.Flash races in the comics, a blue streak and a red streak.

As far as speed, yes flash is faster of course. Wouldn't make sense for that to essentially be his only power and not be the best at it. But superman's flight speed is the fastest any being can ever achieve. So that's why i roll with Superman, my friends. Btw smallville is sweet. Especially when the flash is in it.

his capabilitys had not yet become 100% at that point if you remember, Kal-el could'nt even super-breath at that point , in fact he didnt have any of his upgrades..super-strength..super-speed...flight..or any of the oothers..all he had was basic, however when Superman..he is ..as proved by DC ENTERTAINMENT THE GREATEST AND BEST BEYOND ALL THE HERO'S

@xanpo2000 well in barts case he can run on walls pass through solid objects make whirlwinds make speed clones and send them at any point in time run on water one of them can steal speed from things thus making him faster and slowing them down even enough that he can stop them from moving one can vibrate through dimensions, and time travel by running at superspeeds in a certain direction, another one can create a flash costume out of pure speed force energy

Flash is a superHUMAN and SM is a ALIEN, yet flash is still faster. All of the Flashes are fast but Barry Allen was the fastest....the guy could tons of crazy thing with his speed like run on FREAKIN' AIR!!! Flash is built for speed, on any planet the flash can still run fast. The sun doesn't affect his ability like it would for SM. Super is an alien that gets his strength, speed, hearing, lung capacity, eye sight etc... enhanced by our sun. Not saying SM sucks, but he's not faster than TheFlash
