@ThenWatup you shouldn't ask, maybe take the advice you got from Mike and implement it yourself??? if you go and learn something and then you don't learn from it, then why are you trying to learn to begin with??????
@BlackMarketPaintball Did you even pay attention to anything he said in this video? Over-bored is better than under-bored, especially if you live anywhere warm.
@Jesushobo yes i did but that is way too big, the paintballs will just clank around in the barrel while flying out and possibly even break, go with a .689 or .687, they are usually very good sizes
I am going to buy a furious lotus barrel and they say it is easier on the paintballs with less breaks. I only want 1 barrel not a kit so what bore size would you recommend? Also.. most of my play is year round in New Jersey but i do go south to where it is warmer for tournaments.
@HorvathFrank 1.89-1.92 if your going south. the balls tend to condense a lot in the cold. dont listen to the ad on "less breaks" the bore size has to do with it not that barrel.
i recently bought an empire axe and it comes standard with a 12" barrel. I would like to upgrade maybe to a 14". Is the CP barrel the best choice for me?
@UrGarBag3 go with a stiffi metal free 14" barrel there about $60 very light go with a .687 bore because this video was made 4 years ago and paintballs have gotten MUCH smaller so for the price the mf stiffi is awsome the only downfall is its a 1 piece barrel good luck
Ppl are telling me to get .688 bore? Because if it's a tighter fit it will travel through the bak in one place then go through the front straight then release very accurately is that true? I'm getting a boom stick what bore size shud I get that's best accuracy but keeps the ball clean and tight my weather is bi polar it gets very cold then very hot? Any bore size in between?
what bore size would you recommend for someone who lives in kansas. the weather here is very unconsistant. its very hot in summer, and very cold in winter.
Does any bore barrel fit into any marker or is it specific or do you need an adaptor? I have an Azodin Blitz, cause im tight on cash and its all i need.
Plz help wats better a boom stick or a one piece 14" barrel? Which one will giv me best accuracy and distance? I hav dp g4 after about 250fps the balls curve up down side and everywhere any reccomendations?
@nathanmusictv Don't buy a barrel thinking it will increase the accuracy. Different barrels don't offer better or worse accuracy. However, if your DP's barrel is scratched inside, I recommend replacing it. I don't recommend a $150 barrel or something, but buy a CP. Also a paintballs accuracy depends on the dimples and the condition on the paint.
Alright, so I've got a .690 2 piece here in the UK - heat isn;t that much of a problem here - wetness (note: not humidity) is. Is this barrel size going to be OK for normal tourney play?
i want to buy a new one pice 14inch CP barrel for my empire axe, but i am between the 689 bore size and the 685. I live i Puerto Rico and is very hot and humid and i normally use evil paint. what do you recomend me?
@naaruto567 Yes their is a .688 but he said that .689 was the STANDARD for paintballs and barrels. I thought that the STANDARD was .688. I'm am just curious because I am looking at getting a new barrel for my Tippy 98 but I don't have a lot of money and I don't want to have to buy one barrel to find out that it is the wrong bore. And I play woodsball or Renegade ball if you want to call that I mean we don't have a chrono or anything we just play for fun.
@ballistaking29 one hundredth of an inch will not make much of a difference. if you live in humid climates, get the .689, if you love in not so humid get a .688
This is not accurate, matching your ball to your control bore is CRITICAL to accuracy and consistency. Simple, put a ball in the back of the barrel, look down, if there is alot of light around the ball, air is going to pass by. Only reason to oversize is if playing in a tourney and you cannot break. New Geo 2.1 came with 689 back but shaft4 isnt that great. Freak has been best ive used. Match your paint and if breaking, go one size up, that simple.
@Diekrupt you have value is what you say.I dont understand what mike saying when stating to always overbore. it might help with the bolt butting the ball into the barrel but fps wise I dont think it would be very consistant. there is a simple way to solve everything here. this is made in 2008 so I donot know if this was out when he made this vid....but the iFit barrel kit is the way to go. bore correctly..throughout the day change to a higher insert in relation to the expanding paintball.
@oTarrell13o better quailty and different functions. some add a special spin to the ball others effect sound and range. and most of all all after market barrels will effect your accuracy
I have a 2011 Azodin Blitz and will a .693 even fit on there? I live in Orlando, Fl so I know what your talking about but will it even fit on the gun?
ok so will some answer me... im very new to this.. say if i want to get a Autococker 22 Inch Flute Sniper Barrel should i not use it cuz its bigger than a 16 inch and its not a 2 piece barrel!!??
@TheDEERHUNTER11 If you can find a gun with a 22" barrel you should use it just for pure novelty. Good thing you are going for a cocker platform too. They're more accurate and shoot further because of the closed bolt function!
i live in the valley in ca so what 2 bore size i need? whats better 16inch or 14 inch? what thread size does the dp fx use i belive its a cocker but not sure avg. temp. is 79-90
@killer72189 If you can't figure this one out on your own, you shouldn't even be looking into bore sizing. You've got other problems that need tending to.
I'm just going to completely disagree. I had quite a velocity deviation with overbores and lots of breaks, and am now going about .004 underbore. Grouping improved, break frequency decreased.
im going to upgrade my barrel soon, should i buy an actual barrel kit or just a bunch of different backs and tips seperately. ive got about 100 bucks to spend
@xxxnityninexxx Obviously the Dye barrels will be great, but you'll be paying four times as much compared to the CP Barrel. I've heard fantastic reviews about the CP One Piece Barrel and it's only $30.
when you were saying int the morn after the paints been at 75 degrees and it begins to swell. how does the paint act after 3pm. or just stay with the overbore?
whats the difference in the cp classic and the cp advantage barrels im bout to buy one as soon as i get an answer so can some one plz let me kno soon!!!
@mrmidnight32 .683 and .682 are smaller than .685. If you decide to get a new barrel get something closer to a .690. In the past two years i havent seen much of a difference in accuracy between hot and cold, rainy or dry weather, and ive been shooting the stock .693 barrel that comes with the 2009 Invert Mini. Im from central ohio, our paint should be smaller than yours because the weather here is less humid and colder than where you are.
@evanlikestoparty its not to small at all.. really 12 to 16 inches are all good sizes.
Reason: Samller than 12 gets to where it unaccurate but wen you oversize like 21 or 18 inches you get drag on the paontball.. sooo.. yeah and btw get a .689 bore size and if you can a 14 inch better than 12 but if 12 all you can get then get it.. still good
@bLuRrPb The inside of a gun barrel is known as the barrel's bore. Here in the USA it is measured in inches, so a .693 bore would measure 0.693 inches in diameter on the inside. "Boring" is selecting a barrel or adapter with a specific bore diameter to match the size of the paintball being used. He's saying that it is unnecessary and its better to "over-bore", meaning select a barrel that has a slightly larger bore size that the diameter of the paintball.

My cocker comes with a .685................
I was told thats too small... I've been recommended shooting a 683 or 682....
Im from Socal if that matters.

@Forgoten76 I meant too large... And also this is for a cocker pump not a semi..
mrmidnight32 10 months ago
@evanlikestoparty its not to small at all.. really 12 to 16 inches are all good sizes.
Reason: Samller than 12 gets to where it unaccurate but wen you oversize like 21 or 18 inches you get drag on the paontball.. sooo.. yeah and btw get a .689 bore size and if you can a 14 inch better than 12 but if 12 all you can get then get it.. still good
hope this helped

Someone please tell me what boring is
bLuRrPb 10 months ago
@bLuRrPb The inside of a gun barrel is known as the barrel's bore. Here in the USA it is measured in inches, so a .693 bore would measure 0.693 inches in diameter on the inside. "Boring" is selecting a barrel or adapter with a specific bore diameter to match the size of the paintball being used. He's saying that it is unnecessary and its better to "over-bore", meaning select a barrel that has a slightly larger bore size that the diameter of the paintball.
