  • that second thing he did is on a warm up sheet

  • Mind=Blown

  • and thats why i have 5 pairs of hissticks

  • YOU ARE HORRIBLE JEFF QUEEN !!!

does anyone want to pelt me with tomatoes? i am making a salad for dinner and i need some tomatoes and onions...

  • @xOriGiNGaming No meaning I have my own opinion and stated it because I can do that. If you don't agree then that sucks to be you

  • @RCRhythm sorry, didnt know :-/

  • @RCRhythm no one gives a damn what you think. He may not have been that good back in the day, but these days he's a drum god. Have you not seen his blast drumline videos or any others of his? People idolize him for a reason. I'm only an ok snare drummer but I know an amazing drummer when I see one, and apparently you don't.

  • @Direwolf56 It should have been painfully obvious that I was being sarcastic.

  • I can't imagine what this looks like written out on sheet music... Lol

  • The guy right below me is a total troll.

  • I agree with the comments about this guy sucking. I mean, anybody can play rhythmically accurate paradiddles at 290. You see grade school dropouts in third-world countries doing it all the time. Under water.

When he plays an Belgian funeral march from the 1920's on an antelope skin head with painfully unnecessary arm movements, hand movements, grunts and facial expressions, I'll admit that he's okay.

Because I decide what sucks and what doesn't.

  • @RCRhythm Why is it "an Belgian" better luck next time champ.

  • @kurtys61342 It should have been painfully obvious that I was being sarcastic.

  • @RCRhythm Actually, I believe that that's up to EVERYONE that watches this. And, seeing as (at this moment) there are 101 likes and a mere 6 dislikes, I think the viewers have spoken. So, beat it.

  • @themechanic345 Do you just have the reading comprehension skills of a rural Mississippi grade school student or what? As if it wasn't suicidally obvious that I was being sarcastic, I've posted 2 different times, in plain sight, on this thread, that I was, in fact, being sarcastic. And I don't know who you think you're talking to, telling me to "beat it," but if we were standing here in person and you tried that shit, I would slap you in your fucking mouth, you goofy little faggot.

    Real talk.

  • For the record, Jeff Queen is probably my all-time favorite snare drummer. I idolized this dude when I was a kid.

  • @WeBleedBloo I'm not ignorant i just think he's not that good

  • @Egp12995 then you're just straight up dumb

  • @EggoMyLeggo7 great come back you must be a genius

  • Soloist: noun - someone who can't play with others.

  • @Egp12995 Soloist: noun - someone who plays a solo.

  • @DancingMonkey12 DancingMonkey12: noun - someone who knows little about drumming

  • @Egp12995 Ah, yes! You're so right! He totally made Vanguard's snare line because he can't play with others! Good obervation, bro!

  • @Egp12995 *observation

  • this man has chops of steel

  • All these snare drummers are sick but I never saw the point in snare drummers, it's such a pointless and even sad thing to me, as opposed to playing on a kit

  • @ryder187mac well, kit is a totally different concept from marching percussion, such as snare, tenors, and bass. It may seem pointless because its as if you are just splitting up the drumset into three parts. But, marching with a drum is a totally different thing. One, you are marching, the music hand wise is much more complicated then most drumset music. Two, the displine in technique and playing is much more than drumset. Its like brass and woodwind, totally different

  • @endless634 I did say these guys are sick drum wise but my point about marching was that I see it pointless in the sense that (maybe it's cause I live somewhere where nobody ever heard of marching) well, a guy joins a marching band as a snare drummer and then what? Amongst various styles and instruments of percussion I find snare drumming the most dull. Just compare snare drumming to steel pans or soome tablas? The snare pales in comparison when it comes to technique, soul and musicality. (IMO)

  • @ryder187mac what you said does make a lot of sense. where you live does effect your view. i live somewhere where marching band is well known. haha, and as for snare being most dull, i do most definitely agree, thats why a play tenors or more popularly called quads, depending on the set, 4,5, or 6 drums, waaay more colorful of a tone pallet. the snare drummer is just another sound addition to the drumline, the tonality and color comes from the bass and tenor drum sections.

  • That man is insane

  • Most likely they are the Remo Falams. They first came out in 87 uncoated. They then started putting the white coating on them.

  • 18 years ago, what heads are on that drum anyone?

  • Did somebody say...bald spot?

  • i really hope he can do it with out looking down :/

  • @phailscape Can you?

  • I saw him when my high school marching band went to grand nationals last year. All the bands were at some party and he shows up and plays for us! P.S. we came in eleventh place in the whole nation! Wando High

  • who cares my band came in 6th.

  • @TheDevilWearsPradaa Well it wasnt the first time your band has EVER been to grand nationals.

  • yea it was. but you probbly wont believe me so... who cares, say what you will.

  • No it wasnt because when we were all on the field during the award ceremony, they went through all of the bands and said how many times they have been. Wando was the only one there who was there for the first time. What school do you even go to?

  • avon, we came in first.

and we see him on a daily basis

  • @cinnacook I bet

  • @ledzeppelin174 he gives lessons at avon

  • i play tenors but wow this guy is the shit. i just had multiple eargasms

  • thats sick

  • marched with him at NT - super nice guy. don't believe rumors...

  • I am the Performing Arts Director at Avon High School where Jeff teaches ALL of MY kids. He just spent 10 minutes with me teaching me how to do some of his exercises so I could teach them to my kids. Whoever you heard this from is WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Believe it or not, Jeff is a better person than he is a drummer. I am not dissing his drumming skills, I am just telling EVERYONE how GREAT of a guy he is. I can't believe I am taking time away from my kids to post this!

  • Yeah, I take lessons from him, he's super cool and really relaxed and suoer easy to work with..

  • Avon! Wow! Congrats on the BOA Championship.

  • @rgwagoner Then why did you? You seem like an extremely young band director.

  • ????????????? 21 years certified teaching experience and 3 National championships with 2 different bands. That is "extremely young"?

  • @rgwagoner I didn't say you were. but your comment ma de you seem like you were only like 25. just so you know

  • @XylussN

Dude, you need to learn some things if you find yourself entangling in an argument with a 3-time National Championship band director !!! you need to APOLOGIZE !!!

  • SIIICCKK

  • possibly the only time he wont use mylar?!

  • omg god that part with the ruffs was pure madness

  • wierd ending haha like someonhe pressed the stop button

  • it feels like a lightning bolt just hit the tip of my penis.

  • snare god

  • i hear some ditty in there, changed up lol

  • LOL

  • @DrummaJonesy That made me laugh so hard!! 8^D

  • Thanks, I needed a laugh today!

  • if your names jeff then that is a true statement

  • hahaha!

  • Jeff is an amazing player and one hell of a nice guy. I got to hang out with him back in march and he was totally cool.

  • can i get some sheet music of that to practice?

  • Awesome! He was in Vanguard, Velvet Knights, and I think Star.

  • If my memory serves me correct. It goes Bluecoats, Vanguard, Blue Knights.

  • he was in Velvet Knights for sure one of those years he marched, I'm very positive of that.

  • Your right it was vk91 scv92 and bk93 94 95

  • What, I thought he marched Star in 93, lol.... ^O^

  • He did.

  • This is what his site says "Jeff began his drum corps career with the Canton Bluecoats and continued on to March with the Velvet Knights, Santa Clara Vanguard, Blue Knights and the University of North Texas."

So he didn't march Star in 93. You're probably thinking of Nick Angelis who marched Vanguard in 92 and was the snare champ then marched Star in 93.

  • @GreenCowboy He marched Veek in '90 and '91.

  • @drumrguy

NOT Star...1st Blue coats, VK then SCV, and finally Blue Knights... he teaches in Indiana...

  • @jackhammer10101 Does he teach Scouts now?

  • @beastdrummer555 @jackhammer10101 he teaches avon in indiana

  • @beastdrummer555 he teaches avon in indiana

  • @beastdrummer555 yeah he's with scouts

  • i was born in this year.

  • I thought he was in star?

  • 1:49 sounds like YYZ by Rush.

  • Not really.

  • It might be a coincidence, but it is the same rhythm as the intro to that song.

  • Yea, take my other comment back, just noticed it really does... :)

  • nic nice very nice

  • old school!!!
