I've had people tell me to put him down cause cause hes part chow and rhodesian ridgeback. That he'd turn on me and kill me. This dog would rather take a bullet then even contemplate biting me.

@rsxrob my male pit used to be dog aggressive but i trained him and now he isn't. it can be done the animal doesn't have to be put down. and for the record, most people who have their pits turn on them, have not shown the dog that the owner is "top dog". making a pit submit to you as the owner is the best way to train them. this won't happen if you hit the dog but roll it onto its back and put your hand lightly on its chest. this is a submissive position for the dog

i have had 2 pitt bulls the first one died of parvo and he love me and my family i tought him love and to protect at 11 an a half months old he died of parvo he was the sweetest dog ever now i have his dad a stafishire gator mouth he use to be a fighting pit but since my brother got him from his old owners like 4 yeas ago he is sweet and snuggly and listens to every word i say he use to keep strangers from coming near my newborn nefue now is that a killer reall? all the want is love.

@highboyforreal i know what you mean mine r sweet, loving and loyal dogs but when they think their owner is in trouble (like another dog tried to attack me a few weeks ago) they will attack to protect their owners. i'm not sure of ALL dogs are like this but i do know pits and rotts r like this. a man hit me in front of my rott and she grabbed his arm but let go when i told her to. i didn't sic her on him but i am glad i was able to make her let go

We have a Pit Bull and a Doberman. The sweetest dogs ever. They play with our Pomeranian and our American Eskimo Dog, and we've never had any issue with them at all. They go out in public, and people look at them like they are monsters. They're kind, loving dogs that were raised properly. They want to snuggle and be near you.
Some dogs are more prone to be agressive. But it is 95% the owner. I have met Pitbulls, Rottwielers and Akitas that were very friendly and never made me feel scared at any time.

You still have to rememeber, not ALL dogs are niceynicey. Some dogs' personalities are just like that. Not the Breed, the Personality. I got scratched in the nose by a scotland terrier once. And theres a Scotland terroier just about 10 min away thats cute and playful.

ive got a pitbull cross staff shes really playfull n cute but when i first got her she had scars on her cuz she was used 4 dog fights n she was only 5months when i got her,i thought it was really sad cuz i got her from my mate n he told me he was ganna kill her cuz she wasnt beyin that agressive 2 other dogs n just play fighted that just broke my heart ;( thank god i got her now cuz if havent she wouldnt be living a happy life where she gets taken care of n LOVED!see not all dogs are killers..x
I do doberman rescue work and I have to say, people who treat these animals like this deserve to be punished to the maximum extent of the law. I have a Doberman and he is nothing but a sweetheart.

I have owned several of the breeds depicted here. And you are right it is the owner not the breeds in most cases; however, that includes people ignoring problems in some lines within a breed.
The reason I got out of some breeds is indeed the sort of person they overwhelmingly attract. Despite the well meaning of people involved in club committees and as publicity officers; they are sometimes overly hopeful they can change the status quo.
@mantiskf2003 a responsible owner will watch their dog for ANY signs of aggressiveness. it takes a special kind of person to own a pit and a rott. these dogs are simply strong willed but are loving, loyal and fiercely devoted to their owners. they would give their lives to protect their owners and a good owner will make sure that the dog is well trained and obeys ALL cmds. my male pit pinned a dog by the throat (it was trying to attack me) but when i said stop he did and stood @ my side
@candihu - my point exactly there are too few responsible owners, and amongst them some are who are caring but uneducated or lacking the required commitment and skill. There are few special people in the world in any field. The risks can be equated to the danger of semiautomatic weapons, when lesser is adequate.

first of all my pit is ALWAYS on a leash when I take him for a walk.(only loose in his fenced in yard...he cannot get out so don't trip) Second, its not my "daddy" its my homeboy's dad that gave me the dog. and third just because a pit is loose don't make it Cujo the killer pit bull. My thoughts exactly. All my dogs are rescues and they are the sweetest dogs ever. My lab x german shepherd i rescued him from my vet assisting teacher whos kids used to go outside and beat him with bats if he went near them. That was when he was 1...hes now 7 and has lived with me the past 6 years, laid back, and happy. He protects me when needed, but beside that is a total baby.

@Nefurious50 i rescued a rott from abuse. and then trained, and socialized her. her former owner threw something @ me one day and she went for his throat i yelled break and she dropped to the ground and came to my side. she adopted a kitten and a puppy and they were her friends/chew toys (lol) they all loved eachother. i NEVER hit her but if i spoke sternly to her she acted like it was worse than any beating her former gave her. it's b/c of the love and devotion that i showed her.

Yes dogs (all breeds, not just pit bulls) are all capable of biting, maiming, killing people (small children, babies, adults) but this video shows the atrocity that some PEOPLE CHOOSE to do to dogs. @rsxrob my male pit used to be dog aggressive but i trained him and now he isn't. it can be done the animal doesn't have to be put down. and for the record, most people who have their pits turn on them, have not shown the dog that the owner is "top dog". making a pit submit to you as the owner is the best way to train them. this won't happen if you hit the dog but roll it onto its back and put your hand lightly on its chest. this is a submissive position for the dog

We have a Pit Bull and a Doberman. The sweetest dogs ever. They play with our Pomeranian and our American Eskimo Dog, and we've never had any issue with them at all. They go out in public, and people look at them like they are monsters. They're kind, loving dogs that were raised properly. They want to snuggle and be near you.

I have owned several of the breeds depicted here. And you are right it is the owner not the breeds in most cases; however, that includes people ignoring problems in some lines within a breed.
The reason I got out of some breeds is indeed the sort of person they overwhelmingly attract. Despite the well meaning of people involved in club committees and as publicity officers; they are sometimes overly hopeful they can change the status quo.

Last summer a pitbull was chasing my sister on her bike so my older brother ran over it with his truck.
Now whenever we see a pitbull loose without a leash we try to kill it so it won't attack some kid.

He doesn;t have an agressive bone in his body. If ANYONE tried to kill my pit they'd have to deal with me and my homeboy's dad (the one who gave me my pit. (that would be a bad thing to have to deal with)

Anyone who hurts/abuses a dog really must be seriously fucked in the head and deserves the most severe of punishments. How the fuck can you hurt a friend that does not judge you, is always happy to see you and offers unconditional love.

My thoughts exactly. All my dogs are rescues and they are the sweetest dogs ever. My lab x german shepherd i rescued him from my vet assisting teacher whos kids used to go outside and beat him with bats if he went near them. That was when he was 1...hes now 7 and has lived with me the past 6 years, laid back, and happy. He protects me when needed, but beside that is a total baby.

I totally agree terigower...the way a person treats animals really shows you what kind of person they are.
We need tougher laws and tougher punishment for dog fighters (and all animals abusers really)

I agree! The volume of abuse towards animals is a reflection of a HUMAN problem... not a DOG problem! Most dogs are a reflection of their owners. There is no such thing as a bad BREED of dog any more than there is a bad RACE of people. Each dog must be judged on it's own merits, and not on the actions of only a few "bad ones". It's not fair to label all dogs of ANY breed as "bad dogs"... that's simply not true! This video tells us where the problems begin... with BAD PEOPLE!

Fucking bad pet owners. I have an akita named Kawaii (dont make fun of her name) and i would never treat her like those bitches in the vid. But if you dont speak japanese i wouldnt get an akita dog. if you do defenitly get one cause hey are the best dogs man can love.

why shouldn't i get an akita (or shiba for that matter) inu if i don't speak japanese, that's a load of bollocks, it just depends on the way you teach it commands, if you teach its commands in english then it listens to english commands, its not like a dog from japan only listens to japanese commands...
don't really get what you were aiming at with that comment.
i intend on getting an akita inu later on, ( personally do speak my share of japanese) so what you said doesn't make sense at all!

People are just sick!!! I adopted a dog from rumania, and when the volontairs found him he was just a little puppie, but someone had beaten him real bad, and they tought he was dead... who would do that???? Makes me want to kill....

A true reflection of crulty cases. Until the Government and legal system gets tougher on the dickheads that do this to them it will continue!Six month ban from keeping animals and a small fine is the norm for many cases in the UK! Not good enough

@Nefurious50 i rescued a rott from abuse. and then trained, and socialized her. her former owner threw something @ me one day and she went for his throat i yelled break and she dropped to the ground and came to my side. she adopted a kitten and a puppy and they were her friends/chew toys (lol) they all loved eachother. i NEVER hit her but if i spoke sternly to her she acted like it was worse than any beating her former gave her. it's b/c of the love and devotion that i showed her.
