This road is very nice although tight, but a nice smooth road, at least thats how it looks like. There are only two type of riders, the ones who have been down or the ones that have not been down. Guess i'll be making a trip this summer.
Its worth the ride just watch for the squids. Its not a place to play around either.
The road itself is nice has a crew that goes out every morning and cleans it so you dont have to worry much about gravel and the such just watch for nature and such still though.

Wet roads are a confidence-sapper. You'd be surprised at the grip modern tyres give you in the wet. Even leant over, progressive slides are often recoverable with the right tyre.
Unfortunately, my 120km/h slide on a blind corner covered in wet leaves wasn't. Shame I don't have a vid for all you guys to laugh over!
I have tires without rain tread, they can get over all the way when in the dry, but I was literally doing a rolling burnout when i was going up a hill in the rain, not even turning. Rain tread is important.

When you lean the way the guy in the video does you end up having to hold onto the bike with the handle bars. (I know that sounds strange) when you should be holding on with your legs. It's easy to tense up and blow a corner when you have a death grip on the handle bars. You should be able to have a feather grip going around even really fast tight corners.
When he leans, he twists himself all up. He slides his butt over but then keeps his shoulders in place. He should turn his hips in the direction he wants to turn while keeping his spine straight. This will move his shoulders over the side of the bike. The bike will stay more upright going around corners giving you extra lean angle. Then you won't run off the road going as slow as the camera guy did.

There is some really bad riding in this video. Lead bike rider had some real bad habits riding those curves. Apparently camera/chase bike did too. Learn. Track days pay off tons.

in Cape Breton Nova Scotia we have roads like this exept most of the time there clifts 100ft+ with rocks and ocean @ the bottom

i hate evryone who drives this road.why cant we have roadslike this in ireland.all we have are crappy gravely country roads which are wicked dangerous because theres always gravel on the line that bikers tale for some reason.i want to drive on deals gap so much

It was the cars fault. Didn't you all see the car that cut the idiot off. It's always a car at fault when a bike goes down no matter how brainless the rider. You know right? Someone has to be blamed other than the idiot on the bike, right?

I think it went wrong about halfway round the bend when you shit it and thought "i'm going too fast and not leaning over enough,if i sit the bike up i'll be ok ...then the grey road turns to green ditch and sure enough you were ok.Did your knackers hurt?

There is some really bad riding in this video. Lead bike rider had some real bad habits riding those curves. Apparently camera/chase bike did too. Learn. Track days pay off tons.

Excessive bike lean angle with bad body positioning on the bike for starters. I saw several corners where the rider had the bike pitched way over yet hes leaning the other way as if to keep himself upright. Not good.

People seem to do that because they're deathly afraid of low-siding the bike. However, what they don't realize is that it's a great way to end up high-siding your bike, and ejecting themselves off...only to land on their head or back.
Learn proper positional riding kids.
