its about the chemistry of it. when one receives an IV, for example, the doctor has to be sure the salt concentration in the saline is no greater than the concentration of salt in the human body, otherwise the person dies from destroyed cells due to the osmotic effects of salt and water.

so a salt saline, like the kinds used in abortions, has such a large concentration of salt that it denatures the proteins of the cells in the body and destroys the cells completely. look it up, salt does "burn"
