I grew up playing basketball, baseball and American football but now that I am in my 20's, I X train with b-ball as my primary sport and soccer, running (5 and 10k's mostly), surfing and kayaking as my secondary sports. All of them are helpful, running on hills strengthens your whole lower body, surfing helps your core and blance, kayaing works the upper body and core but if I could only pick one of the four, soccer all the way, it's cardio plus footwork plus teamwork plus fun, just like hoops.

@primenemisis Those setups come with a fence around the court. The backboard is attached to the fence (no pole), and underneath it you have a small football goal (about 4 ft high, 6 ft wide), with an extension in the fence that acts like the goal's net. They're all over the place in Europe.
