I've been checking the claim that 43percent of Europeans are Muslim. It's hard to find an acurate figure because not all countries keep count but I'm sure the real figure is below 10 percent. Turkey is a muslim country as is Albania but the highest percentage in western Europe is France at about 10 percent. Germany is at about 5 because of the large Turkish community and Britain is about 3 percent though they are concentrated in a small number of cities.

God does not give us absolutes. It is people that decide to interpret something as absolute or not. So it is not "God's absolutes" that people consider wrong, but yours and other peoples.

It does say the commandments should never be broken, but it doesn't give a complete detailed report on what each commandment entails (Not killing is pretty definite, but what some consider coveting is debated.) As for Holy and good, they're words we can't as mortals define fully until we transcend this life. So we do our best to interpret them, as you have done.

You'll recall the map of the last election, right?
An OVERWHELMING number of counties were red and only (as you pointed out) the densest population centers were liberal. And you'll also recall that the vote was very closely split yet more than half of the registered liberals voted and lest than a quarter of the conservatives voted.
Also the majority of Americans are not even registered to vote, so if you're going to base it on people that didn't vote, you can't even really have a point on what the majority of americans believe.
Which would leave about 150 million un-registered voters. Since a lot of liberals tend to be poor and disenfranchised, I would assumed a lot of them were liberal. That both set in motion the bank collapses we experienced and caused cheap import prices to skyrocket.
Now that the banks have failed & the loans China bought with their cash have defaulted - they've raised prices even further to offset their losses.
And Clinton is back in China trying to get them to reinvest in the US debt!

Overall, yes, I believe Bush to have been one of the better Presidents since I've been voting, including equal to if not better than Reagan.

You are right that he twisted the idea of Christianity but he never contributed anything useful. Since Most of us Germans struggle to find something good about him or what he did (i.E. Mother's Day) but he only copied or turned something good into evil (i.E. V2 and von Braun).
My point being: there's no possible way for me to determine who speaks the truth, so i simply stay away from it all.

God sees homosexuality as a sin like murder, theft, rape, fornication, etc. But we're not commanded to round up sinners and prosecute them, we're to share the truth - the God News of Jesus Christ! The penalty for sin is death, so if sinners don't accept God's forgiveness for sin and salvation from death then they've chosen their own penalty.
We don't make their sins legal either.

Did you examine all the ways it could be interpreted? Are they all right? Is there a mix of ideas? Or is constantly correct in one way?

I say 'Her' for a reason, that reason being that saying 'His' is a way of putting men above women. God is not a man, nor a woman so to counteract Her being a man I refer to Her as a woman. I've been checking the claim that 43percent of Europeans are Muslim. It's hard to find an acurate figure because not all countries keep count but I'm sure the real figure is below 10 percent. Turkey is a muslim country as is Albania but the highest percentage in western Europe is France at about 10 percent. Germany is at about 5 because of the large Turkish community and Britain is about 3 percent though they are concentrated in a small number of cities.

I don't know what beliefs are being taught in school as facts. Evolution per se? It's pretty well proven, but it was in fact taught as a theory to me. A way is not a line, but a path. A path can be broad or narrow. Again, it is a matter of interpretation. It does say the commandments should never be broken, but it doesn't give a complete detailed report on what each commandment entails (Not killing is pretty definite, but what some consider coveting is debated.) As for Holy and good, they're words we can't as mortals define fully until we transcend this life. So we do our best to interpret them, as you have done.

Almost every liberal voter voted in this last Presidential election. Only half of the registered conservative voters voted and less than 40% of conservatives even bother to register.

If by your rationale the densest portions of the population are liberal, California has a population of 37700000, and new york has a population of 19306183, which is already about 1/8th of the country's population. An OVERWHELMING number of counties were red and only (as you pointed out) the densest population centers were liberal. And you'll also recall that the vote was very closely split yet more than half of the registered liberals voted and lest than a quarter of the conservatives voted.

No, I don't equate Bush to God.
In fact, Bush has let many Christians down in this country during his second term.
But Bush is a Christian and the others are not.
As much as he's let us down I'd still rather him in the White House than those who hate God and this Country; such as Hellary, Osama, Guiliani, Romney and so on.

I think if one is full of hatred it is easy to see hatred in others whether it's there or not.
For one who calls huimself a christian your language is full of disdain and an ability to see the worst in people. I don't see much in your writing that reminds me of the prayer of St Francis of Assisi or the words of Mother Teresa. If they will know we are christians by our love then you've got problems.

I don't "sugar" coat things, wear rose coloured glasses or soft petal the Word of God.
I won't "Love you to death" by telling you you're ok when you're going to hell unless you beleive in Christ.
The Word of God is The Good News.
In the Good News is the fact that if you don't love God, you hate Him.
Some insist they love Him yet they preach & believe counter to Him.
I'll call it out, as the Bible teaches us to do.

As a Christian, I believe in God, in His absolute values and morals.
If a man who hates God tells me that my Chritian Nation, Christian Leader and The Creator are crap and that the world hates us, Him and etc because of our morals and the actions which follow our Faith, why should I be concerned?
He obviously is basing his opion from his deviant world views and therefore his opinion is no longer worthy of our attention.

Who says that a man hates God, it's you that acquaints hatred of the Iraq war with a love of Islamic terrorism. There are millions of christians throughout the world who believe that "Thou shalt not kill" leads one to oppose the death penalty.

In islamic Indonesia, the tsunami victims and all across Africa and into the Middle East.

You are far too self-satisfied on aid. The USA subsidises its farmers and cotton growers to such an extent that they can sell food in Africa at a price so low that African farmers can't compete (see Oxfam America channel)
On the subject of the Oxfam NGO, Oxfam America is a US subsidiary of a UK NGO just as Doctors without Borders is a US subsidiary of Medecins sans frontieres (French)

I am saying if America didn't subsidise its own farmers then Africans would be less reliant on aid and eventually aid would be necessary only for disasters. I work in this field so I do know what I'm talking about. If you read up on the Doha round of trade talks you'll see that all charities are calling for reduction in immoral agricultural subsidies

I actually agree with cutting subsidies to farmers.
And if we strike down this nafta junk, we could cause farming to be profitable again so that we could support ourselves and farmers could afford to farm and support this country ratehr than rely on subsidies and have to sell overseas.

Certainly your subsidies go largely to huge enterprises so as can be seen from an OxfamAmerica video on here cutting subsidies is better for small US farmers as well as farmers in poor countries

I have to go now, but the truth about Iraq is that Cheney, Perle and Rumsfeld used intelligence very selectively to mislead teh world and Congress in particular into believing that without a shadow of a doubt Saddam had WMD's. War was necessary to prevent those imaginary WMD's getting into the hands of terrorists.
