  • what a great vid...keep it up.

so what if i have an fac verson.. can i calabrabte it down to get a higher shot count

  • @xsamitt Best question posted :-) I believe you can do that yes, an F.A.C rifle's regulator is set at a higher pressure and that's one reason why the 12ftlbs version wont wind up, I am not going to tell anyone how to wind up the power but I know they will find out if they want to anyway and they should beware they could face 5 years in prison! I think you will be able to lower it, it depends what its set at now and what hammer spring it has but I don't see why not :-)

  • I'm gona give it a go this summer with mine. I've been up to 75m so far. 200m just seem imposibal. If I get close I'll be back to apologise

  • @gunlovingcragrat Well I was surprised I have to say but the first time I did it was in a dry field that had just been seeded so I could see where the pellet was landing. I had to pack under the scope to get the elevation of about 25 yards above the target! I did this video after the rifles came back from the police who tested them, all came back legal. it was to help other Hw100 owners lower theirs as many creep over a little bit!

  • How you gona do the 200m shots now ?

  • @gunlovingcragrat Just the same, I made them with a sub 12ftlbs!

  • what a well informed video , good job keep em coming.

  • @charleyBIGspuds1 Thanks, sorry haven't had a Falcon fn!

  • please can any one tell me how to turn the power down on my falcon fn 12 cus my air rifle is well over the limit , its a pre charged rifle,,, thanks

  • please can any one tell me how to turn the power down on my falcon fn 12 cus my air rifle is well over the limit , thanks

  • Hi

I HW100, she is 1000 fps with JSB 4.52 havy.

I wonder what the best speed with which this weapon and lead it is more accurate.

I'm having a great accuracy, I think the speed is very high.

Sorry for the english, I'm in tradotor Google.

    Thank you.

  • thats the hard way to do it and its not as easy as it looks.. find the other way chaps its easy

  • Emma could you give us some dimensions for the bolt you made please... thanks

  • Thanks for telling me how to get more than 12 foot pounds - yay

  • what size in mm is the rod you have shamford? i have tried this and it wont tighten or untighten, im scared incase i mess my gun up

    thanks

  • Hi, i purchased my HW100 S the other day, fantastic rifle, but how will i know if its leagel or not?? If i dont own a cronny and im suspecting that the gun shop owner is ok, then is it ok to assume that the rifle is set correctly.

Great video's keep them coming, oh a video on how to Zero your scope for the HW100 S would be good, thanks Cubleycat.

  • Hi after ur advice I decided on the HW 100T picked it up today .. Wow ur not wrong many thanks

  • perfect video, i'm having the same problem with a brand new hw100 also found a slow leak, i know how to sort this with new o-rings easy enough, when i chronod it and found it over 13ft/lbs with bisley magnums i nearly cra##ed myself, i sent it off and had a new action in return as the stockists couldnt tune it down below 12.5 ftlbs, the new one was also producing over 13ftlbs!!! if you want a job doing right, do it yourself!! well i can try to now ;d keep the vids coming!! atb

  • @jimmyreno1998 You are more than welcome :-) I am shocked they sent out a rifle with that power. who would be in prison now if the police tested it, certainly not the manufacture! If all the HW100s out there were tested I wounder how many would be over?

  • that was very clever with the bolt, love your airgun vids.. i couldnt resist i had to buy a hw100 lol what a rifle!! great vid

    favd

  • I love the way you handle a tool.

  • The anti tamper device is there for a reason, if your rifle is outputting over the legal limit, take it to a RFD...

  • Have the same rifle, same problem. I was about to remove the AT completely but will attempt this 'fix' first to see if it works for me (would save time and effort if it does). Thanks for the vid :)

  • i would never tamper with mine cause it costs neer on £1000

  • very good thanks

  • To anyone wishing to increase the power of their hw100, Dont bother. The barrel is not long enough to accurately shoot pellets over 12ft/lb. This is why the FAC HW100 has a longer barrel with a different rate of twist.

I have in the past increased my .22 hw100 and it did shoot like a shotgun! No accuracy beyond 30 yards and power is nothing without accuracy.

  • to talk like a gay!

  • thanks for this video - extremely helpful and informative. As you will know, it is a gun dealer's responsibility to make sure that the gun they sell you, new or secondhand, is in proof, if its a firearm, and within 12ft/lbs limit if an air weapon. Sadly, many air gun dealers are ignorant of that fact, since they have only ever dealt with airguns, and have had to become an RFD because of the VCR Bill.

  • Well done girl, people should not discourage us from wanting to stay legal. Why should we have to pay, sometimes regularly,to have a manufacturing flaw rectified?Great video, thank you.

  • @1450celtic

No mate, tightening up increases tension in the hammer spring.

  • nice video i have an hw 100 amongst my airguns and its alway accurate never to high,i didnt think they was regulated i thought it was just the finer tolerance of the of the transfer port nice work anyways keep it going ..del

  • Hi Cubleycat - a great video - thanks.. I just wondered if the large amount of strain/torque you applied with the drill will damage any internal workings? I already had my HW100 retuned to lower power by H.C. a few months ago but it is now creeping up again!! I want to try your method but am worried of causing damage and expense of repairs by H.C. I appreciate your comments.

  • Another great vid keep up the good work .

  • Hey cubleycat, keep doing what you are doing... Think this information is really useful for people, and as you say, "wind in & go to prison", you've made it plain and simple that it's the wrong thing to do, so I don't agree with people that you are making a power-up video.... Everybody's responsible for their own decisions & actions, people can't try and put any of that blame on to you.

    Matt

  • Hello cubleycat, i just got my HW100 back from shop for it to be turned down and tried it at club and it turned out it was still running hot :-(.

luck wud have it that someone at club new a way to nock it down, it involved seperating the two halves of the action, completely differant to how you do it here.

Have you seen CORNZ38 vid on this? he does it abit like you do here.

  • I think you are brilliant thanks

  • I think you are brilliant thankyou

  • great video very helpful and very clear well done

  • i live in the united states so i can turn it up. have seen some pcp at 40 ftlb sold here. i have a new hw 100 22.cal how can i get in the upper 30ftlb with my gun and will it damage it ? thanks.

  • Hi cubleycat. Thanks for some great videos i think i have seen quite a few of your vids and from what i have watched they have been spot on. i especially like the night vision set up which i suppose can be done on a budget as well. I live in york and have only last saturday been to see a second han hw100 at a dealet in harrogate. i think i may purchase as i am a fan of german engineering. Keep up the good work and lets see some more rat shooting at night. Love ya vids Rich.

  • good video, mine has crept up and is barely over a year old :(

  • Please say me who has better accuracy hw100 in 177cal or 22?

  • @PanccoVanilla

If you want to shoot at longer ranges .177 is the best caliber. It's cheaper, you have a greater choice of pellets and the penetration is much better. The only downside of the .177 is that it is more affected by wind.

  • Great video !! I could listen to you forever, smooth, clear voice. Very intelligent speaking. I am also into airguns and have a HW-100t. I saw your other video, it's great also. Make some more airgun vids. Drives the stress out. :)

  • you're a right tomboy ! are you single?

    :)

  • Hey Emma, Can yours HW100 (4.5) can go out from a soap?

  • great video very imformative

  • you should not show vids like this the police might find it interesting and pull you back in.plus you dont want to be showing folks how to make firearms doh

  • What about the video "Weihrauch HW100 Airgun Rifle PowerUp." ? mine is about lowering not powerup!! If this video helps one law abiding person stay on the right side of the law then its done its job, anyone who is foolish enough to try and over power their HW100 will wreck it anyway, the 12ftbls HW100 is regulated and the adjustment is only a fine setting!

  • power up power down same thing the law state capable of exceding the limit ,we all know the law can be a ass but you dont want to be in court telling them that:)

  • @cubleycat heya i said to you im getting my first air rifle and i got it! not very good but its not bad for my first gun i got it brand new i baught gun,bag,scope,brackets,co2 gas x14,pellets wich are wbley all for £150 like i said i only just turned 15 but i really wanna go places i only kno a place called north cotes butt club shooting club wich is my dadsnfriends club but i would love to go out into the open and fire real targets do you know any places near grimsby and around lincolnshire?

  • Hi sorry I dont know any places near grimsby or around lincolnshire!

Sounds like a good buy, hope you get on ok with it, safe and happy shooting ;-)

  • Why would you be worried about them going over the limit? As log as the power was set by the factory you can't get done for it.

  • @Terminator860

Regardless of whether the power was set by the factory/has anti tamper, if you possess an airgun that is over the limit then you face prosecution. The offence is termed 'absolute' in so much as there is no defence against the charge if following forensic testing by the police it is found to be over the limit. Responsible owners should ensure they have their airgun/pistol chronographed regularly as temperature or a change of pellet can potentially push them over the limit.

  • lol sounds pretty stupid. I really couldn't give a shit if my guns go over. It's not like the police are gonna be testing them. Cubleycat was just unlucky.

  • on the way to your shoot ,brake light out ,pulled over ,copper wrong side of bed ,gun taken, over the limit-up to 5 years !check police stats it happens more than you think.

  • True and they say ignorance is no defence either regardless what it was set at in the factory.

  • @cubleycat just curious as you say that it wont work to higher the power but if this is so then how come you can lower it cause surely an anti tamper is in general for lowering and highing. also very usefull video

  • i wondered where you got to Emma.. great vid 5stars.

    keep it up

    CT

  • my hw100 crept up to 13 ft/lbs. sent it back to hull cartridge and got it back about 2 weeks later free of charge. i need to send it back again now as its dropped down to 10.5 ft/lbs. quite annoying really.

  • Yes it is bad how the power goes up and down, it puts owners at risk of the law. I dont understand why some of the HW100s do it!

  • @1Equinox1

mine crept up to 13.4 ft/lbs,think a crono is in order,i was lucky, got mine back in 4 days lol

  • We in the USA are always looking for the bigger, better, faster, stronger option.

It's odd to watch a video of someone showing how to "down" size something.

  • Yes I know, I love the big stuff but we are very limited here even with a firearms licence so we try to make the best of what we have!

  • I understand you have to work with what is within your means. Pistol ammunition is very hard to get right now, some like 380ACP are impossible.

So a lot of people (myself included) have bought a 22lr pistol like a Ruger Mark III, just so we can keep getting in some trigger time.

  • how high and low can you adjust the power to?? wats the range?? How would the police know if someone went over limit

  • They wont go up much, hardley worth trying.

The police will take your rifle and send it for forensic testing, very thorough testing, they spent 17hours testing my rifles!

  • don't trow the parts around like that. Threat it like a ehh.... with love

  • I do love my HW100, I didnt notice myself throwing bits about! :0) ;-)

  • Wow, thanks a lot Emma thats a great help, Im sure your helping a lot of people out with this.

  • Thanks, I hope it helps people set on the right side of the law, its the idiots that break laws that are giving airguning a bad name and no matter what they will still break the law. The HW100 wont wind up much anyway, the regulator with top out.

  • 5 stars Emma glad you back...

    regards

    sercout

  • The Law is intended to protect the innocent from the stupid but in reality it affects the innocent shooter not the idiot who occasionaly gets his hands an an airgun!!!!

  • Great vid ! wow i thought that here in Greece we had the most ridiculous laws about guns but at least (so far...) there are no limitations for airguns ... it seems that in a few years you could face jail time just by owning a rubber sling shot !!!

  • Yeah its getting that way!

  • Great video Emma ! 5 stars ! ho and you have Chrony like mine ! (i shot my Chrony few times and he is still great lol)

    again 5*

  • Hi Jordenkl, yes I have seen your Chrony in your videos. ;-)

  • wow.... those laws are ridiculous

  • good vid and a nice job. i must say tho i would be telling hull cartridge thay will be sorting it out foc. i must say bsa are grate that way. well i'd be telling them to if i had to pay to send it, well i did have a early r10!!!!!!

  • Nice work Emma good to see you doing videos to help people stay legal. There is a minimum 5 years for firearms offences so anyone using this to go the other way would have to be very stupid. As you quite rightly pointed out its the regulator that deals with main power anyway not the nock open valve you were adjusting. 5 STAR Honey ;)

  • Thanks, oh its a minimum 5 years!

  • great info. This will help deter people from trying to improve the power of the gun. Uk versions will not work for long if you try to increase them over 12ftlbs .Stay legal folks. The standard out of the box power is plenty anyway

  • good vid emma
