There is always that one car in the family that holds an emotional attatchment over them all, and when it has to go. . . Its tough. I consider myself strong, But when it was time to retire my 1995 Jeep Cherokee, 2D, 2WD I litterally cried my eyes out. Took care of me well, even when I didn't take care of it. I miss you<3
The small mini-minivan concept, complete with sliding doors as introduced with this Stanza wagon, was ahead of its time. It carried five in relative comfort, seven if pushed (not so much in comfort) but was a slow seller when gas was cheap. The Nissan Axxess that replaced the Stanza Wagon was a complete flop (when was the last one of those you've seen?) and it wasn't until the Mazda5 of just a few years ago that this concept has been revisited.
I had a Stanza and it was the best car I ever owned or ever will own. I only traded it in because my uncled worked on the A/C and told me that the wires in the dashboard were frayed, it looked like rats had been chewing on them, and it was a fire hazard. The video is a great tribute to a car that, like mine, was almost a family member.
I had one just like this, it was tan color and it was a piece of junk because it kept braking down on me lol... I got rid of it back in 2000 and bought a chevy S10
we will miss you stanza, we were priveledged enough to get to borrow her when we didn't have a vehicle. She performed flawless, even up hill. thankyou, for letting us say goodbye.

A stanza wagon was the first car I ever bought. It was glorious. Thanks for the rush of memories and the proper send-off.

That was depressing...
Love these cars, I want to get one sometime. Yours had the sunroof and the jump seats which was rare to find.

That was a very nice - and strikingly depressing send-off. I am sad that I never made it into the book of people who borrowed it.
Fare thee well Stanza. You did it all well.
