@nlo13 They would basically be like they are now tbh. Patagonian Rats was written with so many guitar parts they brought in Evan for the tour. But as far as style, I feel like they'd be a lot more like the old Melos... Worms brought the punk rock rhythm riffs to make the band's sound heavier while Nick did the tapping. I can't help but feel they lost that once he left.

that's what I meant. I saw them this March, Evan didn't match half of Nick's energy level. Don't get me wrong, I love their new stuff and what Evan did, but I wish I could've seen them "bring it" live like this vid.

@nlo13 Oh yeah man, totally agree. The wild days of Melos 1.0 are behind them, sadly. Even John, who I know personally and is a great guy, isn't the same in terms of that crazy energy that Vince had. The original band is something untouchable, and I guess it couldn't stay that way forever.

i am deeply offended by you referring to complex math rock as "random noise". Tera Melos follows in the strain of bands such as Don Caballero, Hella, Lightning Bolt, and a shit ton of other bands that noone seems to have ever heard of.

Ultimately, this is without a doubt intensely thought out music and not random noise. Every lick and rhythm change is indeed thought out before hand.

In fact, the drummer you see there has now quit the band to become a college math professor.
