Well, I'm glad to have Roman on my team. Solid veteran on defense. Montreal will be very very good this coming season. Your Sabres are lucky to have a good goalie. He will keep you in many games because you don't have much else.
Sure, Montreal signed a shit load of "big name" players, but they lost a shit load of legitimately talented players as well. I honestly see them suffering the exact same fate they did last year.
The Sabres aren't amazing anymore, but we certainly have more than Ryan Miller. Our defense core is very solid and full of young players ready to get called up, and guys like Connolly, Vanek, and Roy still produce extremely well. Don't be so sure that they won't beat down the Habs this year.

I'm excited about the acquisition of Mike Cammalleri. The Kostitsyn boys will bouncing back. Watch out fellers, the Habs are comin'!!!!!!!

that's the thing, you habs fans permit yourselves to go around to every other team and identify all of their supposed weaknesses, but all the unsureness in your team is not to be questioned...everyone is predicting your team to be fringe playoffs, but some how, all habs fans know better, and know this won't happen...didn't see many canadiens fans saying they wouldn't finish 1st when that was predicted last year.
i don't doubt the habs can do well...i just really don't like when it's acted as if it's a guarantee by canadiens fans, yet they're apparently permitted to trash other teams' fans that have changed, when they say their team is going to do well...
the best is when montreal fans tell leafs fans they're "dreaming" when they predict the leafs to finish between 6-10...i get it's a rivalry, but the red tinted glasses need to be removed every now and then to actually have a decent hockey conversation.

Roman Hamrlik plays smart hockey.. gritty guy who stays on the ice, nearly led the team in blocked shots. Comes to play everynight.
I don't live in Montreal so I don't really see the media coverage but I would expect fans to feel very good about the upcoming season.

but in Bergeron's interview he said if he had to do it again, he'd still do that
Its what kids learn to do in jr & so on, to protect the puck
so it's not a lack of experience, he was just don what he was taught to do.
