It`s been about twelve months, and uncle cedric now runs on gas
we managed to squeeze a 130lt gas tank where the the old petrol tank was and fitted a 440 gas research carby under the bonnet (thanks Mr. Rudd.)
I`v managed to tame the fuel consumption a little, it was about 30lt/100km, I`v managed to get it down to 18.5.
Uncle cedric certainly moves pretty well "for a big fella" on about 6psi boost. I`m going to find some time to take it down to the dyno, and tune it for more boost
The Leyland P76 was offered in a color called 'Home on th'orange' instead of plain Datsun orange! Well these clever color names! This video seems like it has the wrong music track, 'Cherry Baum'? What's Cherry Baum? The Rolling Stones' "Paint It Black" seems like more apt. First off thought it was an 'orange peel' effect primer cover color. But didn't the true black Cedrics had a vinyl roof? They looked pretty cool in a real plastic way but in the sun, had that sickly odour of hot vinyl!
I wish my mate kept his cedric , or the many 180b's he went through or the 1600 he trashed or his 1000 that some one stole the bonnet off of ! lol anyway a C with a VH45 would be stomper! cant wait to see more vids of yours.

I've gotta give you major thanks for taking care of your oldies, the only type of Japanese classics you can find near here are the ones half stuck in the ground, which wouldn't make a bad build project mind you, but its a shame to see cars like a Skyline C110 in the junkyard. So again thanks for taking care of them, had a nice family history with one.

Truth be told Datsun took many a styling cue from late 60s American cars and early 70's European cars. This particular car I am seeing alot of the late 60's Impala from the side profile with a little bit of 60's dodge coronet and polara from the front. the early Z's have much of the profile of an E type jag but with a more down to business stance

nice! and nice 240! what turbo did you use? t3? when I was a scrap metal dealer a 240c coupe came in but one of the drivers fucked the roof pulling it off the truck :( its was pimp. it did donate is harmonic b to my 260 though! even funnier I found a l23 block one day!
Two weeks after buying "uncle cedric" I spotted a p230 coupe and a 330 wagon since then( about 18 months) all iv seen is the same two four doors on the road.
I love to get a coupe but have you seen the hard top (pillar-less 4 door) ssssoooooo tough but i dont think they sold them here.
Thats a nice old Datsun. I would have made the intake plenum larger tho.
