It is difficult to make an opinion on music that you are not in to. I don't like half the music at the top of the charts, but that is just me. I think this song is great and with music you really have to look at the lyrics. I mean after all most pop music today are a bunch of remixes and beats that have been used before. @beenjamin333 those bands are good for sure, but this songs not really meant to be made like those groups would make a song. its similar to drive in the sense that the chord progression is pretty simple, but they stray from it using effects and a pretty solid melody. plus its pretty hard to fake the kind of emotion you can clearly see brandon puts into the song

Something about the guitar riff and the vocals and the way everything just mixes really works for me. I saw your comment earlier about how it's simple to play,etc. Music doesn't have to be complicated to be good. Some of the best songs are very simple to play... Also the vocalist clearly has his heart in it, which is obvious by the way he sings it.

I doubt you have heard the album aside from the single Adolescents because the album doesn't come out until July 12th. I have a friend at Sony here in CA who got me the cd about a month ago, so 2 months before it comes out. It's a super bummer because even the song "Punch Drunk" off their last album is considered "hard" compared to this album coming out in a month. It sucks

@CharmSchool20 actually i have heard the album in its entirety thank you for that assumption. some tracks are more mellow but not acoustic. They definitely have a good mix between actual acoustic, more mellow/soft rock, and classic incubus songs( you can't tell me switchblade is acoustic) so super bummer for you but i think the album is perfect for just hanging outside, going to the beach, or driving around and i am in love with their evolution as a band.

Lots of great independent artists our there writing wonderful music, but you won't find it on the radio. Get satellite radio & ask your musician friends who they're listening to.....lots of great local acts in my city of Houston. The problem isn't lack of good music, it's knowing where to find it.
