The best pure goal scoring line in my opinion is Bure, Ovechkin, and Ilya Kovalchuk. I put Kovalchuk on because he puts up 45 goals a year on a team that wins 30-37 games a year. Imagine if he went to Detroit or Anaheim or Dallas or anywhere that goes over .500 in a year. I think he would be in the top 3 for Art Ross.
You can't mention any group of elite goal scorers without mentioning the most elite of them all... Mike Bossy... Highest career goal per game average ever.
Yeah dude. Bure was still great after the first knee injury. Even after the second, he may have lost a little speed but he still was at the same scoring pace. Right up through his last year in new york, his goal per game was damn good. One of the greatest goal scorers of all time
I really had a bad feeling about that injury he sustained in Chicago in '95. The reporters were trying to tell us how bad it was. Clearly, he never could fully recover. The whole league would be different today had he simply not had that injury. I bet he would have been retiring after this season!
My Dream line for european players: P.Bure-S.Koivu-A,Ovechkin-N.lindström-K.Timonen and D.Hasek..It might be better but i like'd to see those guys in ice same time..
"... and there's still energy left for body checks. Here's Brown, a long pass to Pavel Bure, in the clear right in, YES!!! HE SCORES!!! Pavel Bure has won it in overtime! Pavel Bure picked up a perfect pass, stick-handled into the clear, deked Vernon, gets the winner at 2:20 of the second overtime! Canucks won the series 4 games to 3"--Jim Robson, Canucks radio play-by-play, Game 7, Vancouver @ Calgary, 1994 first round playoffs.
